Cleveland Mosque Leader Could Soon Be Deported
NewsNet5.com ^ | 7/7/2005

An Ohio mosque leader may be leaving the country earlier than expected.

NewsChannel5 learned that Imam Fawaz Damra's appeal was dropped in the Court of Appeals.

That means his citizenship remains revoked and the deportation process could begin soon. A judge revoked his citizenship in September 2004.

A jury convicted Damra last year for lying about connections to terrorist organizations on his application for U.S. Citizenship.

The 42-year-old spent two months in prison and four months under house arrest.

Damra is the leader of Ohio's largest mosque, the Islamic Center of Cleveland, in Parma.

This waste of skin and all his fellow travelers should definitely be deported...

...to the bottom of the Pacific.

From "Supporters of Cleveland imam charge scapegoating," JihadWatch, Jan 22, 2004
http://www.jihadwatch.org/archives/000704.php

(snip)

Mr. Humeidan, was the arrest of CAIR's Randall Todd Ismail Royer part of this pattern? Was his guilty plea part of it? Since you evidently assume that Damra is not guilty, please explain also these facts, reported in the Plain Dealer last week (via Frontpage) :

Imam Fawaz Damra helped lay the groundwork for an organization that ultimately merged into al-Qaida in the late 1980s.

He was an unindicted co-conspirator of the terrorists who bombed the World Trade Center in 1993. And he passionately raised money for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which killed dozens of Jews in Israel during the 1990s. . . .

How much Damra knows is unclear, but he is directly linked to two of the largest terror-funding probes in the United States, and implicated by association in a third sprawling investigation. . . .

In the mid-1980s, he co- founded the Alkifah Refugee Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., part of a network that recruited and trained Muslims to fight against the Soviets in Afghanistan, a venture that dovetailed with U.S. government efforts in the region.

When the Soviets withdrew, however, there was an international fight over what to do with the leftover money and power.

Like many Alkifah centers around the world, the Brooklyn chapter was drawn into the al- Qaida network created by Osama bin Laden. The mosque itself fell under the sway of Omar Abdul Rahman, known as the "blind sheik," who was later blamed for the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.

Damra, meanwhile, settled in Cleveland, where he reinvented himself as a peacemaker and spent more than a decade building tentative, then increasingly sturdy, bridges between local Muslims and Jews.

Nearly all of his efforts collapsed following the terror attacks of 2001, when a grainy videotape surfaced revealing another side of the charismatic cleric.

The 1991 video shows Damra at a Muslim gathering in Cleveland, disparaging Jews in Arabic as "pigs and monkeys" and raising money for the killing of Jews by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Maybe he isn't guilty. But it would be helpful to get a full explanation and clarification. Does he now reject Islamic radicalism? Does he want to see the U.S. someday become an Islamic state? These are the kinds of questions that must be answered.

Deporting this scum is good news, but it would be better news if our laws allowed for a good and thorough beating before deportation!

Fuzzy Darma should be deported. In a box. All Cleveland mosques should be destroyed and their members driven into Canada.

Sending an able bodied male enemy back to his lines, to regroup with his forces strikes me as insanity.

Well, if we shove a radio transponder up his butt, he'll be able to show us just where the enemy forces are grouping.

"Well, if we shove a radio transponder up his butt, he'll be able to show us just where the enemy forces are grouping."

I remember all the hype about caves and tunnels in Afghanistan, and being to read license plate numbers.

And about Osama's satellite phone. And about bunker buster bombs.

And three years later, we haven't got him. Better dead now, than playing some high-teckie chase games.

You are correct. Give him a Gitmo vacation for being such am islamic a$$hole and then throw him in the ocean so he can swim back, God willing, to the place he longs for in this world, or to the heaven full of all the islamic virgins nobody else would touch with a ten foot pole.
Virgins are not especially required to be attractive, you know, either physically, intellectually or socially. May all islamic terrorists to whom it may concern have many ugly, disagreable and diseased little maidens and mullahs and their usual other misters and the choice between disease and celibacy that they deserve.

As I posted in another thread:

DCI Goss has said that we know where UBL is. I can only conclude that we haven't put hands on him in order to create a "honeypot" to draw in other high-level terrorists and get clued in as to their plans.

You are "concluding" something different than what Goss specifically said.

If we could catch and/or kill him I think we would.

If we can use him as a "honeypot" we could use his other contacts just as well.

Islam in Conflict in Cleveland

By Stephen Schwartz Published 02/24/2004
http://www.techcentralstation.com/022404B.html

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- An historic series of events is taking place in the largely-hidden world of Islam in America, and in a place many people would consider unlikely: Cleveland, Ohio.

The incidents in question involve Imam Fawaz Damra, 41, a Palestinian-born religious officer of the Islamic Center of Cleveland -- described as the biggest mosque in Ohio.

In December 2003, Imam Damra was arrested on a federal indictment for seeking U.S. citizenship illegally. The indictment (available here), charges that in 1993, when he first sought naturalization, he failed to disclose his affiliation with a number of Islamic extremist groups. These included the Al-Kifah Refugee Center, an operation linked to al-Qaida, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad. He also denied ever engaging in incitement or other hateful activities based on race, when in reality he had advocated lethal terrorism against Jews.

In addition, money raised in Imam Damra's mosque went to the Holy Land Foundation, which the federal authorities have closed as a Hamas front. (I have elsewhere called it the Holy War Foundation). Damra has been associated with former University of South Florida professor Sami al-Arian, who has also been indicted as a leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Indeed, Damra has been described as an unindicted coconspirator in the Al-Arian case.

Calif. mosque fires Islamic leader accused of supporting Osama bin Laden
San Diego Union Tribune ^ | 6/28/05

http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1433820/posts

LODI – A mosque has fired a religious leader accused of speaking out against the United States and supporting Osama bin Laden in the wake of the 2001 terrorist attacks. Shabbir Ahmed, 39, is one of two imams detained on immigration charges as part of an FBI investigation into alleged terror activities in the Islamic community in Lodi, a wine-growing region about 30 miles south of Sacramento.

The mosque's board of directors unanimously voted to fire Ahmed in a special session Sunday night, said Mohammed Shoaib, president of Lodi Muslim Mosque. "We don't want that kind of person who has spoken against the United States," Shoaib said.

"Hence, this person should be executed as an unlawful combatant."

Hear, hear! We need to begin constructing "consolidation" camps to pool the domestic enemy together before processing out back to the ME or whatever Sh*thole they came from.

There is no such thing as moderate Mooslim.

If by "processing" you mean sending able bodied recruits back, I object.

Better pine boxes and ash urns.

We have someone involved in terrorist activity in custody. Our plan is to release him.

This is why I am not satisfied with how we are prosecuting this war on terror.

The Muslims have already been DIRECTLY responsible for more American deaths ON OUR SOIL -- than the Japanese killed in their attach against Pearl Harbor...

The Muslims in America have been FAR more vocal and active in their SUPPORT of the terrorist attacks in America and their opposition to our war against terror....

I would advise American Muslims to DECIDE quickly how they're going to convince Americans they aren't deserving of the same Internment Camps we consigned the BLAMLESS Japanese to for the duration of WWII.....

I've seen little from American Muslims to earn them ANY sympathy or compassion...
At this moment, I feel mostly anger, contempt and opposition to ANY and ALL goals of their murderous ideology..
