~ UNITED WE STAND ~

Support Our Friends!

Welcome to the FReeper Canteen! It's Friday, but not like most Fridays we've had lately. This one comes the day after a terrorist attack in London. Today, we ask that you would show your support for our great friends across the pond. Through wars and revolution, England has been there. Today, our British cousins need us.

The Vent:

If you're outraged as we are in the Canteen about the happenings in London yesterday, then do the following things if you can:

1. Prayer is free and powerful.

2. If you own a Union Jack flag, don't fly it at half staff. Put the flag high in the air. Do it in defiance of these idiot terrorists. Show your support by not lowering your flag. Wave the Union Jack flag high and proud.

3. Go about your business. Don't let these terrorists think we're going to slow down because of them.

4. Be vigilant! Be aware! Stay safe!

5. Send your messages of support on this thread to our British allies!!

6. To our British friends, allies, and cousins:

WE'VE GOT YOUR BACK!

TO THE TERRORISTS:

UP YOURS!

Look At The Birds

Read:
Matthew 6:25-34

Look at the birds of the air . . . . Are you not of more value than they? —Matthew 6:26

Bible In One Year: Isaiah 4-6

cover When you shift your mind into neutral and just let it idle, where do your thoughts go? Do you worry about money? We are to be careful with money, but Jesus taught that we are not to be full of care about it. If you have put your faith in the Lord, you don't have to worry about life's necessities. God Himself has assumed responsibility for your food and clothing—and all your needs.

When Jesus spoke of our need for food, He pointed to the birds, and said, "They neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?" (Matthew 6:26). That doesn't mean we get what we need by doing nothing. Birds must scratch and search for food. The point is, they don't worry about it.

Jesus instructed us to center our lives on God's kingdom. Then clothing, food, and drink will be ours as well. Look at it this way: Whether or not you live only for money, you'll ultimately leave it or it will leave you. But if you focus your life on God and doing His will, all these other things will be provided.

Does your concern for making money and keeping it overshadow your concern for doing God's will? If so, stop and look at the birds. —Haddon Robinson

Children of the heavenly Father
Safely in His bosom gather;
Nestling bird nor star in heaven
Such a refuge e'er was given. —Berg

Poverty of purpose is far worse than poverty of purse.

Well done! My heart goes out to the our allies today. I have been amazed all day by the stiff upper lip and calm that was exhibited by our friends across the pond. I don't think that the fascist realize who they are dealing with.
