Bangkok - The bodies of a Buddhist couple were found shot and nearly decapitated on Friday in restive southern Thailand, adding to the five other beheadings in the past three weeks, police said.
Jad Suwanchatree, 52, a defence volunteer in Muang district of Yala province, and his wife Serm, 51, were riding their motorcycle to tap rubber from a plantation when they were killed.
"As Jad stopped his motorcycle to remove wood which blocked the road, he was shot and slashed in his neck, as was his wife," police in Yala said.
"Their heads were not totally separated from their bodies" although a doctor confirmed the cause of death for both was their neck injuries, police added.
More than 720 people have died in southern Thailand since the violence erupted there in January 2004.

What should we call your proposed coalition - dhimmis anonymous? Leftists do actually have a religion of sorts, though I suppose the correct term would be an anti-religion. Leftists are never going to get it. The underlying reason is that they seek the same goal that the Muslims do - the complete destruction of the west. The evil oppressor/patriarchy/untermenschen must be destroyed in order for the free and equal supermen/oppressed/übermenschen to emerge and establish utopia. Leftists see Muslims as their great allies amongst the "oppressed other" in the master plan.

Leftists have made the quantum leap into true knowledge: Once the evil patriarchy is destroyed and cast upon the ash-heap of history, and its defenders safely buried or locked away in re-education facilities, the long-suffering Muslims will have no need for jihad. They will take their place among the free and equal in the new utopia. Saudi Arabia will become like Sweden. All of the misogyny, beheadings, etc, are simply a reaction to the evils of Western colonialism. It will one big happy, diverse, multicultural family of humankind, ruled uunder the great and compassionate vision of the annointed ones.
Actually the atheists should form an alliance with the Muslims, since they'll go after everybody indiscriminately, including themselves. Look at how kind and tolerant they were in the Soviet Union, Spain, China, Cambodia, Vietnam, etc.
