I strongly disagree!!
Joe Average has put up with food shortages, foreign wars and no modernization of infrastructure for nearly half a century.
It's Jose Average who will finally rise up and overthrow the despot.
The more help God and mother nature can speed up the process, the better!
I guess I can make Foxworthy's "You might be a redneck" repertoire. :-)
On Blue Collar Comedy they have
"Redneck Yard of the Week"
You might want to submit your's.
I don't think any disasters would create any sort of revolution.
Only way Castro is going to go is dying of natural causes.
The Weather Channel did mention another storm behind Emily.
Face it, any disturbance coming off the west coast of Africa has a big "C / F" stamped on it.
Cuba - Florida.
At least that is how TWC makes it sound.
And if you live in Florida, why?
GWB has it in for you folks. His evil plan is to have more storms this year - just for you!
Time to move, no?

Out West here so far there has been very little if any significant Pacific tropical activity. By now, there ought to have been at least one good TS that reached land. That was the prediction as well, based on Sea Surface temps and other factors. Generally, it has been my observation that when Hurricane season is dead on the Pacific, it's brutal for the Atlantic / Gulf.
We Atlantic side Floridians do not need another 1-2 punch!
After nearly 50 years of Florida living, I'm beginning to seriously consider it...
You mean Eastern Pacific or Western Pacific?
Anyway, point is overall activity around the world for tropical cyclones has been pretty normal for years; other areas have had less activity as the Atlantic has had more.
You'll notice it's been a long time since hundreds of thousands of Bangladeshis have been killed by a Cyclone....
East Pacific.
Cool! Larry the Cable Guy is from the next town over. Maybe he can come do it live ;-)
Nah.
A summer in Florida still beats a winter anywhere else.
Yeah, there's an inverse relation of the EPAC and Atlantic tropical seasons; for one thing if the Atlantic is active the good waves develop there before they reach the EPAC; also El Ninos kill the Atlantic and enhance the EPAC.

Look to the north of these two.
Looks like that pattern would help them along.
Models have shifted South Tonight; ECMWF, which is pretty good, plows it into Mexico, Emily misses the US completely.
Does it show the projected path anywhere near Cancun?
That's Emily's little brother, Fred...
Let's kill the little bugger before he gets to Florida!
