I doubt this if as Drudge is reporting, the NYT is about to unleash a hit piece on Rove. That would make them look worse than they already do.

Wow...

Wouldn't this be fun? I've been watching Michael (Flush the Koran) Isikoff and Chrissy Matthews tonight posture and puff about Judith Miller.

I sure hope this is the case...not that I think it's very much of a threat or problem, anyway.

Millers "jail" is like a college dorm. They have separate rooms, a main room where they can visit, play cards, watch TV. She's simply on vacation.

Rather than spill the beans, she'll wait it out in comfort and then cry victim.
If they really wanted her to talk, they'd put her in a real jail cell.

this needs to keep bumpin'...

If NYTimes is about to do this hit piece, and they're really in the wrong...then this would sure be perfect.

And we should not underestimate the stunning arrogance of the press--"We're above all those rules that the little people have to obey"--think of the way Dan Rather behaved, and how they're still giving him medals and trophies.

I seriously think it's Wilson who spilled the beans. There's absolutely no doubt in my mind.

There is any number of reporters, pundits, and others, who have known about Plame all along, as numerous threads on this forum have demonstrated for near three years now.

There are multiple other sources who knew it as well.

When is the NYT not doing a hit piece on Rove?

Sometimes on Saturday buried around the classified ads they'll run a story that if you squint just right, does not put Rove in a bad light.

This is so they can claim they are "fair and balanced".

There is so much more to this story than just "IF" somebody outed a covert CIA agent.

Appears that somebody somewhere and it had to be higher than Joe Wilson and his wife's pay grade believed they could protect Saddam.

Not sure I can agree with this claim, I believe Cooper and Miller are protecting the source that helped them with their line of questioning of Rove.

A journalists would obviously seek to learn of all the accusations and who was making them and contact them before interviewing Karl Rove. Since Time Magazine has already released an email between Cooper and Rove, this should make it clear that Rove isn't the source, because Cooper was doing the questioning, and all Rove did was warn that Wilson is n ot credible, and he did so by pointing out that Wilson's Wife approved of the trip and she works at the CIA, there is no crime in that.

BUT who did Miller and Cooper interview before Rove? That is who they are protecting !!!!!!!!!!!!

Quite the contrary. If the bull pucky is about to hit the fan, the first thing that the left does is start slinging it. You can tell what they are guilty of, and expect to be exposed for, by what they accuse others of.

It's instinct with them. Catch them stealing, and they will yell "Thief, thief!!" pointing at you. They figure by the time the crowd arrives, your claims that they just stole something will seem like defensive whining and that most of the crowd will just shrug their shoulders in confusion and wander off, muttering something about those damn politicians.

If the NYTimes is about to go big with this, it must mean that there is something requiring a big smoke bomb, to cover up.

That's one of Bush's more successful instincts. Spit on him, and he speaks honorably of you. The lefts usual way of starting a fight to cover something up doesn't work so well with Bush, because he seems never to react with outrage to what other politicians do to him.

THAT'S who the investigators are looking for right now, and I think the democrats are worried. Don't let their squealing fool you. They think if they scream loud enough, they'll get the investigation stopped at Rove. Not on our watch they won't!

Rove already released any reporters he spoke to from any privilege protection. Miller is a fabricator already on previous stories and she probably just made this one up also and now she can't go in front of the grand jury and admit that she lied. SO we get to see the MSM blame Rove again.

The strange part is that the rest of the MSM HATES Judith Miller because they believe that she is a tool of the Bush adminstration and Military. (quite funny considering that the majority of the MSM actually are tools of the DNC and leftist groups). Hello, Pot! Kettle for you, says you're black...

I could be wrong, but I think that Rush speculated the same thing during today's broadcast.

Yep -- after White House criticized his report, he had an op ed piece in NYT. At about that time, I believe he bragged to a reporter (Miller?) something along the lines of "I know what I'm talking about. My wife is a secret agent!"
