The girly-man scampered off, murmuring "Ooooo, you big meanie!" And that was it. Another thread wrapped up. But I knew there'd be more. That's how it goes in this business. So I wrapped my trench coat around me, bent my head into the chill wind, and headed for a nearby saloon.

At this forum we share information and seriously debate issues.
So why is it that when you're asked to support the premise that intelligent design is actually scientific and has a logical basis, you respond with nothing but snide comments?
There are some however, that just come here just to engage in arguing and have nothing much to offer.
You mean like people who respond to reasonable inquiries about the scientific validity of Intelligent Design with stupid retorts that in no way address the questions?
My past experience with you fall into that category. Have a nice evening.
Typical creationist. Ignore all questions, make snide comments, declare victory, run away like a coward.

Line by line soph debate tactics applied to my simple statement to you is such pathetic overkill.

I've noticed that the only people who complain when someone responds to their entire statement are those who don't make defensible statements in the first place. Then they whine when their dishonesty and/or irrationality is exposed.

Looks like plain talk's responses are indeed pretty plain ... even pre-packaged in the case of the one you and I got.

It has become obvious that some creationist/IDists are here not to debate but to taunt the pro evolution side and then when the bait is taken, to run off with as many 'parting' shots as possible.
What I find interesting is the almost complete lack of cites to primary or even secondary sources to back up their creationist crapola. Are they afraid that we might read the sources and find their interpretation either incomplete or outright wrong?

Whenever I feel prideful...all I need to do is come back to an evo thread and read everyone "self-exalting" themselves.
I go away with a new humbleness. Its quite helpful.

Are you trying to say that I misrepresented the creationist tactics?
All you need to do is retrace this thread and read the posts by PT to see his abandonment of discourse when asked to present a few specifics of his claims. Instead of presenting them he throws a red herring into the mix by complaining about the responses he gets and laces his own responses with useless ad homs.
If you question the general statement I made about creationists, just take a peek at a few 'evo' threads and you'll see a mass of unsubstantiated Creationist assertions with a very few backing cites thrown in for appearance sake.

"Just as long as he goes away." If he can't or won't come up with a little more than ad hom, having any kind of discourse with him is a waste of time.

You wouldn't be sneered at if you had answered the questions. It seems that you don't want a discussion. It is evident that you are only trying to disrupt.

There were no questions worthy of discussion. Certain evo's just like to argue and argue with soph tactics and waste time. I have better things to do.
To: plain talk
OK, so you cannot even answer a simple question. VI=ON

I am an economic conservative. I would not have recommend all of W.J. Bryan's economic agenda (although some was pretty sound). God is able to protect and use and bless a nation that has some problems with its economics if that nation would honor Him and His word. God would grant such a nation very unusual wisdom to get it right. I would endorse a world full of Bryans before I would endorse the current A-spiritual, hedonistic, amoral, self-centered and self-indugent, God dis-honoring conservative economics that I see flaunted by so many of the more vulgar contributors to Free Republic. All of our most conservative economics, along with our free enterprise system will collapse under the judgement of God coming upon our sinful epicurian use of it. "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people." Proverbs 14:34. I recommend that you read much more than Bryans economics. Read much of his lectures and speeches to young people. We have no statesman of that calibre today, that I know of, who are motivating young people to live such clean, upright, God-ward and generous lives.
