(WCCO) Minneapolis A 9-year-old boy is missing from Minneapolis and police are asking for the public's help in finding the child.

Dallas Michael Labno is described as a white male with a thin build. He is about 4 feet 9 inches to 4 feet 11 inches tall, with brown hair and a fresh "buzz" haircut.

He was last seen wearing silver gray shorts with a blue or yellow baseball jersey with a silver "Baseball" patch on the front. He was also wearing red baseball socks and blue tennis shoes.

Dallas was last seen in Sibley Park near 40th and Longfellow in South Minneapolis around 8:15 Tuesday night, police said. That is near his home, which is in the 4000 block of Longfellow Avenue South.

Police said there have been reports of a vehicle driving slowly through that area in the past several days. That vehicle is described as a 1980s dark blue minivan with wood grain panels, tinted windows and no hubcaps.

Anyone with information about Dallas or the vehicle is asked to call 911 or the Minneapolis Police Department.

(sigh...) Here we go again. Although I am praying and hoping for the best of endings here, one cannot help but consider the worst-case scenario.

Cops aren't real clueful - the only minivans that came with woodgrain panels were Chryslers.

I had a 1990 Plymouth voyager in dark blue with "wood grain" side panels. BTW I gave it away and it has since been totalled by the new owners.

Here is a photo of Dallas:

Prayers for his safe return. I hope the abductor isn't another repeat offender let go by one of our liberal judges.

Would it be approriate to move this to Breaking? If so, would you please add it. Exposure (and prayers) are vital in these circumstances.

The darker colors were more popular in the South and SW for some weird reason.

I've seen plenty of them in dark blue. I think the only Chrysler minivans that didn't have fake wood siding as an option at some point were the Dodge Caravan Ram Van models.

Humans that troll our parks and playgrounds looking for litle children to kidnap...make bullsharks look like compassionate creatures.

I remember when I was a kid in the 50's. I used to ride my bike all over creation, go for walks in the woods and fields and country roads and was not in any danger.

If I was taking care of a child now I would not him or her out of my sight.

There are far too many evil predators abusing, kidnapping and murdering children. It is a disgusting shame that they are not executed. I hate to say it but vigilanteism is going to happen if these subhuman scum are not punished properly - i.e., escorted swiftly off the planet.
