"this reminds me of McDougal's wife of Watergate fame."

Susan McDougal isn't all that old. I'd bet she was partying with some of her high school or college friends during "watergate".
Now "white water" may be another story...

Bob Woodward is crazy. Larry King must get a share of the profits from Bob's book. I think this is the third time he has been on LKL is 2 weeks.

I want to know how much Judith Miller is being paid a bonus by the New York Times to serve jail time to protect the company's source. The big question is 'will she report this extra income?'

Yeah, Larry King is another one I wouldn't mind seeing retire from his DOZENS of years in the media spotlight. Is there really no one else in our country capable of fawning all over celebrities 5X per week on CNN???

I agree. She and her employer are self righteous in this regard, yet the NYT's moral highground has a major case of liquifaction in instigating the FIRE ROVE talking point.

I've got news for those fools: when somebody is found in contempt and ordered to jail, THEY have to serve the time, not some publicity-seeking putz who has nothing to do with it.

I've got news for you...this isn't news to Woodward. He wouldn't have made the offer if he didn't know this. :)

sounds like a cry for attention, pretty sad indeed

Either that, or he is trying to serve her time in a female prison... dude must be pretty hard up.

Pretty vapid, narcissistic thing to say, considering that legally it could never happen.

But then we ARE talking about Bob Woodward.

If he really feels the way he claims to feel, then, here's a suggestion for him:

Put yourself on house-arrest lockdown! Stop going on The Larry King Show! Stay home for six months!

Why Woodward didn't think of that, I don't know...

Please point all you know to the information.
