Has there been a thread yet that has asked 'what's up' with posts that just hang in the ether, appear in our "My Comments" sometimes for a long time before appearing on the thread? Or appear on the thread and then disappear?
Observations/questions:
It's been happening for quite awhile, but it used to be more occasional and it seems worse now...
Can we assume you're working on it? Any update that would let us in on the nature of the problem?
Does it happen more in the General Interest/Chat forum than in News?
Does the size of the thread matter?
It seems to help shake a hanging post loose, to reply to it from My Comments. Is this true? or just perceived? I've been 'bumping' the post from my comments on our saddle club thread and it seems to work.
OOOPPSS!! I mean, hi there, Miss Hair!
ok...
What? You mean the postings from the various trolls that the moderators are zotting? Or just yours?
Mods move things around at their discretion.........
I know.... you'd be working on it, but you keep having to stop and answer these silly questions, right?
Are you logged in?
Not moving threads....
Replies to threads that don't show up for several minutes.
Lately I've experienced some delay between the time I click "post" and the time the comment appears on the thread. It sometimes take 3 or 4 refreshes. It happens on short threads as well as long ones.
I bet this gets moved to General Chat or personal.........5.....4......3.....2....1......bye!........
Who the he!! do they think they are?!?
/h :o)
My money's on Bloggers
It's not some kind of a contest for me, it's just a question. ;~D
A troll? lol
At least you know what I'm talking about! :~D
It's hard to explain!
I have noticed it less occasional.
Har har!
Maybe it'd help if there was more, or less, lightning around here!
what, you mean those replies that show up on your Comments page as "125 of 124" etc...?
it's just server lag.
"Server lag" didn't used to happen in the old days ;~D
Why does it now?
It's OK-- you're not in the Twilight Zone. ;) It seemed to start happening around the time FR went down and left us all in withdrawal.
