"No, they were in Achmed's apartment. Unfortunately, he didn't pay his rent, so he got evicted, and he now lives in a van...down by the river. :)"

Achmed moved them! That idiot! I told him to leave them there until the sleeper cells showed to pick them up. I hope he doesn't have those nukes stacked in that ratty VW van of his...the door locks don't even work on it. Now I have to call Osama on the encrypted wrist radio and tell him and he is not going to be happy.

You might be surprised to learn that they didn't sit on their hands for those 8 years, they hit a lot of other targets.

Not within the US though.

"Electronics are fried by radiation, too...as are electric wires."

Nope. The chips of the electronics might be fried, but the wires won't be affected--though the plastic insulation might get brittle and possibly crack when moved.

"Interesting commentaries....if this guy had said 5 years ago that some terrorists were getting ready to fly passenger jets into the World Trade Center towers these posts no doubt would have reflected the same diatribe."

Just out of curiousity...let's say for a moment that (a) you were an FBI agent in July 2001, and (b) someone published a book laying out the events of 9/11 in detail--how the terrorists would do it, et cetera.

Now, it's 9/11/01...would you want to arrest the author of the book? If not, why not?

Dont kid yourselves about the lack of technical expertise. Money talks. All it takes is a few weapons engineers from the former Soviet Union, or Iran, or the former Iraq, Pakistan, or even China to recondition a few of these puppies.

Likely targets will have a high human density, such as a sold out superbowl, or an NBA game 7, or a college bowl game.

How can anyone underestimate their intentions, to kill as many people as possible. The giant twin towers was a preview of what they are capable if we dont stop them. And we do a lousy job at stopping them because we (Liberals) are overly concerned about the rights of Muslims and the illegals crossing our southern border.

apparently, the 9 US cities with the highest Jewish populations are going to be hit.

And the Jews in those cities will magically all go on vacation that week because they will get a phone call.

They are waiting for the signal to unleash a coordinated attack along with the Chinese and Latin American gangs.

They've waited a long time to kill us, they will wait another ten or twenty years if they have to, just to do it right.

Unlike Americans, they are very patient and like to savor their revenge.

If we are lucky, it will be the undoing of their plan, but don't bet on luck.

The problem is that nuclear weapons require ongoing maintenance. That maintenance requires materials and skills that are extremely scarce.

Waiting around just makes it less and less likely that the bombs will work on the great strategically planned day.

You know, what is as dangerous as the terrorists themselves is the cavalier "Fortress America" attitude. If 9/22 didn't shatter that illusion or the millions of unknown illegals pouring across our borders doesn't make you pause and think, then you are either intentionally being naive or are an

11-9 showed how much damage a couple of dozen al qaeda terrorists can do. If they had 5000, they'd have used more. They don't. I'm not saying Al Q isn't a threat, its an enormous threat, but they're not in the US in anything like those numbers.

Guaranteed? Are you personally guaranteeing the nuking of Mecca in retaliation for Islamic terrorists setting off nuclear devices here? By what authority are you guaranteeing this?

Also, bin Laden was criticized by numerous Muslim clerics for failing to give us enough warning prior to 9/11. They laid out a plan for him to do so prior to the next attack, which included a call for Americans to convert to Islam, and a call for us to elect leaders who would not harm Muslims (they believe our foreign policy is inherrently anti-Muslim). Since late 2001, he has been methodically doing just what he was asked... several experts believe his speech prior to the election was the final warning.

The use of commercial jetliners for terrorism in New York city was discussed at length here on this forum in maybe, 98, or 99.

There were a lot of naysayers then too, as well as those who could see it happening.

"If nuclear devices are set off by Islamic extremists in this country Mecca will be reduced to a glob of radioactive glass in less than 12 hours ... guaranteed."

I think we should hit first. Why wait on them to kill our people?

Savage intrigued me when I first heard him, but now I can't turn the station fast enough. Urban rap is better then that meat headed self absorbed freak.

"It is conceivable, if unlikely, that they could have obtained a device from Pakistan. But that (1) would be large and unwieldy (not a "suitcase") and (2) would be at most one bomb, not 20."

I seriously doubt that Pakistan has the level of technology necessary to build a suitcase nuke. AFAIK, only the USA and the Russians ever developed any.

Here's a thought. Maybe they do have several suitcase nukes right now, within America. But because of the scarcity of those with skills to do the maintanence the strategically planned day is well down the road until the maintanence can be done.
