However, having said that(love that cliche). Please forgive the old derring doo. Goodness knows where I picked that up from. The first thing I did when I read this thread was to pick up a quote from Siegfried Sassoon. Poet and decorated WW1 British officer. I quote:

Sassoon had broken down, he was absolutely sick of lies and promises. This is hard to accept, but the heady force of emotion and patriotic belief may yet wipe out political correctness.

I hope the lads restrain themselves- and PICK YOUR TARGET CAREFULLY. vis "Islam will rule Britain" and it's arrogant thuggish Islamists.

Thank you for a ligitimate debatable post Peter Libra. Regarding the above I would argue that "the heady force of emotion and patriotic belief" and the use of street thugs was what brought Hitler to power.
