We knew they would happen, the murderous attacks in London. But we knew something else would happen even before the last wisp of foul smoke dissipated into the London sky and the last casualty was counted. And happen it did when British MP George Galloway rose in the House of Commons to declare that the terrorist attacks in London resulted from Britains refusal to withdraw its forces from Afghanistan and Iraq to focus instead on finding a real solution to conflicts in the Middle East.
We knew it would happen because in America our minds and our hearts have long been assaulted by the neurotic guilt ridden, self-hating harangues of the blame America first crowd. Think of it. We had not yet assimilated the full horror and meaning of 9/11 when a perverse stream of consciousness impelled Liberal tongues to spit, One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.
We were supporting troops and decent Iraqis fighting against Islamo-Fascists and their gangster brethren when Michael Moore spat, The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not insurgents or terrorists or The Enemy. They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win.
We were standing firm behind troops engaged in destroying as vile a coalition of murderously dictatorial, viciously anti-democratic, pathologically misogynistic mad men who ever existed when Senator Richard Durbin (imitating fifty years of Liberal rhetorical tradition) equated the behavior of American forces to behaviors perpetrated by troops under Hitler, Stalin, and Mao, a disgraceful insult repudiated by not a single important Democrat.
Sensible Americans understand that such despicable speech is not limited to people of one nation and thus expect to hear it both from foolish idealists and those on the side of the enemy everywhere terrorists attack. Those same Americans also applaud the good sense and rhetorical flourish exhibited by Adam Ingram, Britains Armed Forces Minister, when he responded to Galloways morally reprehensible and intellectually vile comments by accusing the MP of dipping his poisonous tongue in a pool of blood.
Yet however insulting, disgusting, and harmful the poison spit by the likes of Galloway, Moore, and Durbin, there exists an insidious venom far more dangerous to all who understand what is at stake in the fight against Islamo-Fascists and their allies. There is, after all, a reason for Virgils warning that a snake lurks in the grass.
The snake lurking in Americas grass turns out to be the shamelessly egotistical Senator Hillary Clinton, who, like Mr. Galloway, couldnt wait for the stink caused by terrorist bombs to dissipate before she set her poisonous tongue to work for base political purposes, criticizing the administrations budget for protecting public transportation from terrorist attack when she knows or ought to know that professionals tell us that in the war against terror, it is intelligence funding that needs to be maximized.
Mrs. Clinton might have spoken with the courage, honesty, and wisdom exhibited by Tony Blair, who reminded us of the fundamental principles at stake in this war when he said, Its important, however, that those engaged in terrorism realize that our determination to defend our values and our way of life is greater than their determination to cause death and destruction to innocent people in a desire to impose extremism on the world. But how can the Clinton egotism resist implying I can protect you from the kinds of attacks which occurred in London.
Mrs. Clinton might have spoken about the history of terrorism in the past forty years and its connection to Islamo-Fascists, humans whose brains roil amid the stink of pustulant neurons that ceaselessly ooze anger, blame, and a hatred of every decent principle upon which modern civilization is built, humans whom Christopher Hitchens insightfully characterizes as possessed by a sordid love of death.
Mrs. Clinton might have spoken about how evil sects of dictatorial psychopaths extended their influence and their murderous activities during the eight years of her husbands administration, an administration of which she was a powerful member. Indeed, she might have spoken about many important ideas pertinent to the current war; but she emerged from the cover of the grass only long enough to hiss rank politics, thereby revealing herself as one possessed by a sordid love of power and thus one whose poisonous tongue represents a far greater danger to us than the words of any blustering fool or the acts of any of our vilest enemies.

Thanks for the ping!
Also, adding a sentence to Mister Moore's quote, which was apparently on his website, went thusly...
The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not insurgents or terrorists or The Enemy. They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow and they will win. Get it, Mr. Bush?
More than any of the other America-hating bile that Mister Moore has served to his willing confederates, he will have to answer to history for this open and undisguised rooting against us and for our enemy.
.
Kepp the faith, the witch will lose by at least 5%.
From your keyboard directly to God's ear and the American public's heart, brain and voting booths.
