Women who think these chemicals are completely safe are either uninformed or delusional.

What are the odds of dying in childbirth or pregnancy?
Are they less than the patch?

I doubt the arguement is against chemicals; it's against artificial birth control in general.

** Could we please put about 10 million of these patches all along the Mexican border so that the Bush's guests can pick them for free, courtesy of the US taxpayer of course, and use them.

Thank You President Bush. Some of you who may have missed the earlier expose' of Bush's ordered cover up of the spike in border crossings when legislation was discussed about an amnesty for all illegals in the U.S. --- 25% increase which the Border Patrol was ordered by the adminstration TO NOT DISCLOSE ANY DETAILS TO THE MEDIA OR PUBLIC!!! Tancredo blew the whistle, along with Judicial Watch's great assistance. See Bill O. tonight for a repeat of the interview AND HARD EVIDENCE THAT TANCREDO COLLECTED!!!! This is unbelievably damning (deliberate cover-up) and exposes Bush's pro-illegal-Mexican agenda!!!

Just watch Bill O. tonight!! Made me want to puke.

You had to be an idiot to miss the terrifying warnings on the TV commericals when Ortho Evra came out. Usually you get "may cause dry mouth, nausea, dizziness, nose bleeds...if youre erection lasts more than 10 days call a doctor", etc.

With Ortho Evra you were warned about "stroke, heart attack, liver damage, uterine bleeding" and on and on. What woman in their right mind would risk that just so their guy didn't have to wear a condom?

I took the pill for a few months while I was in my 20's and early in my marriage, but I could literally feel the circulation problems in my legs. I got off of it right away, and never went back to it.

"We think the death rate here is of concern, but it's not different than what we expect." Anything to keep the sexualkampf rolling. Yes, Virginia, women have died by the hundreds of thousands since 1968 for that revolution...

Not to mention the 35 million abortions since 1972.
That's a GREAT NATION -- exterminated.

It's not a sexual revolution, but a cultural WAR with real casualties to fill mass graves...

Google up just how many people a year die while taking aspirin every year. It might shock you.

Several lawsuits have already been filed by families of women who died or suffered blood clots while using the patch, and lawyers said more are planned.

Lawsuits??? The TV ads have specifically said clots are possible, heart attack, stroke, etc with even further increased risk for smokers warned as well. Look, these women were INFORMED of the risks and side effects to WATCH OUT FOR. You need to be monitored by a doctor. These aren't things to be trifled with. Of course these young women want to spread their legs for any passing fancy and not have to even remember a once-daily pill. This is definitely a *cost* of "feminism" and they just have to grin and bare this responsibility they've yammered about and demanded so they can control the men in their lives... oops, I meant so they can control their own bodies. Riiight.

Any woman (or man) who had such blinding headaches for days, soon after starting use of this patch and didn't seek medical attention is a fool. And a dead one because of it.

My sympathy is not particularly high in the Ortho Evra case.

It isn't nice to fiddle with God's design for human procreation.

These pills and patches only encourage promiscuity and carelessness, IMO and should be greatly discouraged. Instead, they're promoted heavily in magazines and on TV. Saw a commercial for this particular patch a few months ago - at 7pm - on a Sunday - on regular network TV.

The senior director of clinical research at Ortho McNeil is reported, in an 11 July 2005 AP story, to have committed scientific fraud during his academic career. See this thread.
