Johnson & Johnson Tylenol advertising in homosexual mag.

July 15, 2005

You will not believe this ad by Johnson & Johnson

Johnson & Johnson has placed an ad for its Tylenol PM product in the July 19 issue of The Advocate, the nation's leading homosexual magazine.

The ad shows two shirtless men in bed side by side. The text over one reads: "His backache is keeping him up." Over the other: "His boyfriend's backache is keeping him up."

Click here to see a copy of the ad. (Be warned, it is offensive)

You probably aren't aware that Johnson & Johnson is also a charter advertiser on the homosexual network LOGO. Thanks to Johnson & Johnson's committment to financially support homosexuality, it is only a short time before this premiere homosexual-based network will become a part of your local cable package (if it isn't already). While Johnson & Johnson voluntarily helps get the network off the ground, you will be forced to pay for it as part of your regular cable bill.

Johnson & Johnson says they will ignore emails from OneMillionDads.com, so your personal involvement is needed today!

Please take time to call Johnson & Johnson. Their toll-free number is 1-800-962-5357, option 5 (you may be on hold for a minute or two). Their corporate phone number is 732-524-0400 with little or not waiting time.

Tell them to stop their financial support of homosexual networks and magazines. Please be kind, but firm, when you call.

Tylenol PM is sold under Johnson & Johnson's subsidiary, McNeil Consumer & Specialty Pharmaceuticals.

Please take action now, then forward this critical issue message to your friends and family.

Sincerely,

Donald E. Wildmon, Chairman OneMillionDads.com

P.S. Please forward this to your family and friends!

Why must normal people be continuously subjected to the sodomy and disease spreading sub-human behavior that is applauded by all sectors of the media?

Do you have a subscription to The Advocate? if not, you wouuld have never have seen this ad if it wasn't for this thread.

And let's face it. Gays are a marketer's dream. Lots of disposable income, since they don't have to spend it on kids, they tend to be more impulsive in their buying habits.

Yeah I was a furniture salesman years ago and at first I would turn over the "boys" to other salesmen when they walked in, until I saw how much they spent and how they didn't care about the price.

It was a water bed store in North Hollywood. That view of the world caused me to quit the job WHILE I was making a fistful of money to get involved in conservative politics (and a subsequent life of borderline poverty).

How about if I just silently stop buying Johnson & Johnson products?

Of great help and much more productive, I think, would be a compilation of alternative company/products.

WAKE UP!

Approval of homosexual behavior, while ignoring the directly related disease and social carnage normal people must shoulder because of it, is an "in your face" phenomena in every sector of the media.

So what was Donald E. Wildmon doing reading a homersexual mag?

He reads it for the articles, I'm sure.

Here are a few questions. Would you boycott J&J (good luck with that by the way) if a regular "Got a headache take Tylenol" ad were run vs one with 2 dudes in bed? Why doesn't this article list all of the advertisers so we can boycott them? Why doesn't the article list who sells this mag so they can be boycotted as well?

Why have they singled out J&J and left all these other pieces out? The message in the article is Boycott J&J not boycott the homosexual "life" and "culture" I've got nothing against J&J, the homosexual agenda is a different story.

How is this for irony. The New York Times advertises on the Rush Limbaugh radio show.

Okay. Even if true, what does that have to do with an ad for Tylenol in a gay magazine?

And what exactly makes a magazine homosexual? Does it have wild bondage parties with Sports Illustrated after hours in the magazine rack?

Doesn't Johnson & Johnson also manufacture k-Y? I don't think they want to alienate the gays.

And what exactly makes a magazine homosexual?

Tasteful layout of the articles and lots of ads for show-tune CD collections?

Does it have wild bondage parties with Sports Illustrated after hours in the magazine rack?

Are you saying that SI is a big closet queen? Who knew?

A man with his legs spread on top of another man. If that's not a gay mag, then I don't know what is!

Maybe, He is a closet gay! After all, if he makes enough noise, nobody will suspect he is gay, after all.

Pretty shocking. It's like when VH1's We Love The 80's outed He-Man.

I never liked "He-Man." Even as a little kid, he reminded me of certain guys who lived in Chelsea/West Village and were "a little funny" to an 8 year old.

This story fits Wildmon:

The man comes into see the psychiatrist. He tells the psychiatrist, "Doctor, I am in love with my horse."

The psychiatrist asks, "Is the horse male or female?"

The man screams, "Female!! What do you think I am? Queer?"

Its all about the long term view of things.

What Johnson and Johnson isn't showing is the "after" picture ie a guy needing a pain killer because he's been dealing with the debilitating affects of HIV. The sad truth is that there is too often a direct correlation between those two "buff" gay guys in bed and that guy trying to keep going with a struggling immune system.

They do the same thing with heterosexuals as well, selling one thing while ignoring the long term results of what they're trying to push. When's the last time you saw an ad with a cute couple in bed saying "They're having fun now but two years later she'll need a hysterectomy because of HPV."

Its all part of the same thing. Get you to buy, buy, buy, now and not think about anything but the moment. In fact the sad thing is that Johnson and Johnson is a leading supplier of medical items and probably profits both when they seek to target an ad and when the disastrous complications arise (take your Tylenol now so you can "get it on" and then when you have oozing sores we'll sell you bandages).

That's the real moral outrage. The "gay" thing is just a symptom of a wider disease.
