Dear Lord, Thank You Lord for this Lord's Day. FOr the blessings within it, for the fellowship of friends and for being able to come to You this afternoon. Thank You for a nation in which we are free to worship You and to proclaim Your Word to others. We don't know how blessed we are.

Lord, I lift up this nation, though Lord. For it seems in the least that she is lukewarm towards You and we would rather her have a burning desire towards You. Men seek satisfaction in worldly things and not in You and the church has lost her mission. Bring us back to You and preserve Your heritage of Christian love upon our nation.

Lord, I pray for President Bush, and aks that You would guide him. Drown out the voices of deceipt that surround him and let him hear only You. Give him a vision towards this land that doesn't entail earthly temporalities but eternal things. And help him influece as he should.

And, Lord, let us all sow righteousness and deal with any unconfessed sin that we might be harboring. For we want to be right with You Lord, and we want the world to glorify You for whom You are. You are our king and our God and we love You. Forgive us where we fail You and help us to live in the righteousness You have for us.

For it is in Jesus' precious name that I pray these things, Amen.
