LTC Joseph Myers, US Army, and former senior DIA analyst, offered some interesting ideas and comments on the Lodi case and al Qaida as a nascent insugency in the US, drawing lessons from Colombia's insurgency and the role of civilian subversive organizations and whether the FBI and our laws are ready to face this threat...
Great Quote on the Farooqia Center: I would dissent from that view, and put it this way: "Seemingly legitimate organizations are created for sinister reasons, for insurgent activity"

These are not "insurgents", they are terrorist-criminals, plain and simple.
Sacramento talk show host Mark Williams has been trying for about a year to get some of the tens of thousands of Muslims in the area to come out and demonstrate against radical Muslim terror violence. No qualifying terror allowed; e.g., Bush's, et al. "terror" against Muslims. Mr. Williams will make all the arrangements and pay for it.
So far the reaction has been to demand Mr. Williams be taken off the air and his radio station be investigated by the California legislature.
Recently the mayor of nearby Lodi has joined Mr. Williams confident that Lodi's diverse, close community of loyal Americans, Muslims and all, can pull it off.
Mr. Williams is due back from Iraq this week. Before he left with the Voices of Soldiers Truth Tour he reported that so far three Muslims had expressed interest.
Similar efforts in Phoenix and Washington, D.C. fizzled. The Muslims that did show up came to demonstrate against all terror especially abuses against them. The usual "everybody does it, stop picking on us, let us teach you about Islam." Damn few American Muslims are serious about ending radical Muslim terror, IMO.
