"The Hamptons!!! I'll bet the room was just full of people of color. < / sarcasm >"

Couldn't they find a few Shinnecock Indians to fill up the empty seats?

Dean grew up in the Hamptons, eh? Then he moved up to Vermont with the rest of the hippies.

Ah, the beautiful Democrats of the Blue-Collar Party! Just take a walk on Lily Pond Lane in Easthampton -- everywhere you see the working class. Stroll the sandy beach of Georgica Pond -- you will meet America's noble peasants and miners. Pop by Loaves and Fishes for a quart of fresh lobster salad -- the line of decent working people stretches around the block.

"Barbaralee Diamonstein-Spielvogel"

I think that was a typo. Her real name is Barbarastein Spielee-Diamonvogel ;-)

Oh, now we can understand what Dean means in his harsh criticisms of those wealthy Republicans! The pictures clearly show that this "big night in Manhattan" had lots of poor and middle class people in attendance, and that the "recipient" of their reward, Kofi Annan, is himself sworn to poverty. And the get-together in The Hamptons--well, it was a gathering of the homeless. Such hypocrisy!

And like the evil Sauron who rose from his own ashes the equally evil Hildabeast waits in the wings for her chance.

When I think about the DNC these days, and read pieces like this and today's posted article about the Dems' fundraising falling far behind the Republicans' I picture the dark tower collapsing at the end of Return of the King, to Howard Shore's triumphant score.

This bodes ill for the Dem's chances in 2005 and 2006. Without "walking around" money for the "activists", plus money for the get-out-the-vote drives, they will be toast in any closely contested election.

Getting the dead to walk to the polls is expensive

The next DNC president should be George Romero.

Diamonstein-Spielvogel

I had some of that the other night at a bistro. A little too much garlic, but not bad.
