I agree 100%. Who says it has to be fancy? That AZ Sheriff feeds his prisoners on a couple dollars a day. Give them tents, and in the winter pump some hot air into the tents with a boiler located outside the fence. A big fence, razor wire and a some guard shacks high up and comfortably protected from the weather.
Prisoners should get no special diets, nothing except the cheapest food to give them necessary nutrition. Same meals every day. Let them complain about it. Why should we give a @#$% what they think or say? Its prison. They aren't supposed to like it and have a grand old time.
I used to think same way. But when I visited a relative in jail, it all changed. Seven people in a little cell is WRONG. People sleeping on floor is WRONG. Diabetics,and others being denied needed emergency medical attention is VERY WRONG!!
