Looks like the British front in the War on Islamic Terrorists has just had its first "friendly fire" casualty.

He ran from the police when they ordered him to stop.
He had a big back pack...and the city just experienced 8 bombings. He was pretty stupid. Sad for him, his family and the police.
But not for the gene pool.I am not surprised that he was shot. I am surprised that they killed him. They were good shots.

People are calling this guy really stupid. All he did wrong was to panic when four guys who didn't look like cops pointed guns at him. How many people wouldn't do the same thing? When you're in that situation, your senses can shut down and you want to do nothing but flee.

Why the hell did he run???

Poorly trained, panicky cops should not be assigned to terrorist surveillance. There were any number of ways these officers could have assured public safety without blowing the guy's head off. If they were following him from his home they should have confronted him long before he went into the tube station. They obviously never even established whether he was armed before killing him!
These easily panicked officers have handed the enemy a cause celebré and deserve to be severely censured, demoted, and, if Brazil presses the issue, brought up on charges of criminal negligence and drummed out of the police force.
