Here is a pretty good reply from a reader in Atlanta to an article in the Wall Street Journal on why the Terrorist strike. I thought some of you may find this interesting.
"I suspect more of us are angry, not afraid."

I suspect more of us are angry, not afraid. We're angry that the Patriot Act isn't really protecting us with our borders wide open. And we're angry that Washington has turned a deaf ear to us.
We're angry that our brightest and best minds dismantled our producer economy and handed it to the Chinese. Then our brightest and best pretend that they are surprised that they are building a mighty arsenal capable of taking out American cities. They even boast of this and that makes us angry.
We're angry that the jobs replacing those outsourced really suck!
We're angry that Sandy Berger is still walking around free.
We're angry that our judicial branch of government is in the law-making business. We're angry that they now can take our property away from us anytime they want to. We won't be nearly as angry if Justice Souter loses his property though because we feel that would be proper justice.
We're angry that our lawmakers in Washington won't let us have our own retirement accounts and they do. We wouldn't be nearly as angry if they operated under the same rules as us little people, but they don't.
We're angry that our hard-earned tax dollars are given away to other countries. Especially when those other countries hate us. Back when we had real patriots in Washington, one of them said it wasn't his money to give, and he was right.
We're angry that Americans fund over one quarter of what it takes to run the U.N. The U.N. really makes us angry! We want to opt out of the UN and we want the UN out of America!
We're angry that our schools have become indoctrination centers majoring in revisionist history.
We're angry that regardless of which label sits in the White House, nothing much seems to get done that should get done. For example, it took almost 40 years to get an energy bill. However, there doesn't seem to be a problem passing bills to protect some obscure animal. What about the humans? This makes us angry.
We're angry that the economy has become the American god.
We're angry that there is an ACLU. They don't do good work--ever.
Afraid? Not me.
OUTSTANDING!!! *Gotta be a FReeper!*
LOL!
It's never a good idea to p**s off the ladies. They can be mean.
Yup, that about sums it up!
Thanks for posting this. It's really good and to the point.
I like this Alysa Schermerhorn of Atlanta.
I LIKE IT BUMP!
Many Europeans mistake American reaction for fear rather than anger.
She basically laid out the winning platform for the 2008 Presidential Election.
Woo-Hoo! Liking that Steel Magnolia!!
So MiaT finally got a letter to the editor published..
