"More than 800 people have died in a surge of insurgent attacks and government offensives since March..."
Where are the daisy cutters when you need em?
Let me guess they were all trucked in just like the Syrian backed protestors in Lebanon.
Free chicken dinner after bus trip to a protest.
BBC said it was 1000 protesters... why do I suspect the number was closer to 100...
If they say "die America" they are our mortal enemy. Daisy cutter time.

Should have let the gate bust, then open up with about 10-15 minutes of .50 Cal fire or until they left(15 seconds) which ever one had the most effect.
I didn't read the story but come on let them get in every now and then and defend the base ehen they get in.
No need to wait for them to knock down the gates.
When they come up there and start shouting death threats that is enough to make a sane man take action.
As the British said, you don't buy an Afghan's loyalty, you only rent it. Don't you remember all those "great" Northern Alliance victories? Most of the Taliban forces just switched sides, they weren't exactly defeated.

"More than 800 people have died in a surge of insurgent attacks and government offensives since March..."
Since Reuters does not want to discriminate 650 of the 800 were terrorists
Dream on. There's no way that daisy cutters would be used on them.....for much the same reason daisy cutters aren't use to slaughter demonstrators wholesale in Iraq.
Time for lock down with extreme prejudice.
In Reuterville, there are no terrorists.
Only freedom-fighters and "so-called terrorists."
