He began molesting her (Even if the leftie media did say they began "dating") when she was *12* years old, and he was 20. She got pregnant at 13, and they got married when she was 14.
I don't give a damn what Kansas calls it, when a 20 yr old man has sex with a pre-teen girl, it's child molesting, and he needs to go to jail for it, even if he DOES marry her after he knocks her up.
His mother, who admits to allowing her to spend the night with him in his basement bedroom at her home when she was still 12, ALSO needs to go to jail.

Age of consent in KS is 16, but marriages with parental consent down to 12 are permitted, and sex within marriage gets the blessing of the state (the relevant distinction between pedophilia and normal (fallen) human sexuality isn't an age distinction, but between lusting after those who have not reached puberty and those who have).
The problem with the case is that the NE prosecutors are not after him for sexual conduct before the marriage, but for *having sex with his wife*.
