Only one question . . .

First vanity after more about 2 years.

One question:

When it comes to dealing with a very difficult civilization; in terms of the values we hold most dear as a civilization with a Judeo-Christian tradition. Should we not ask ourselves, when we feel mildly threatened - "What would God do?"

Now we know why they used those boards to separate sleeping partners!

But on the subject of all the kids?? You got me there! People must have chain-smoked to kill their sense of smell. I know I'd have been sleeping outside. Waaaay outside!

Yeah, i thought so too. But we all know they didn't touch each other before marriage back then, so it didn't fit. ;-)

Yes. It must have been quite fragrant...

Traditionally they took one bath a week but they did wash up. The unwashed clothes must have been horrific.

They did re-use the bath water...

Maybe it was by choice until they each had their first honeymoon bathings.

when we feel mildly threatened

Flying airplanes into buildings and threatening to kill all Westerners is well beyond "mildly."

Just damn.

If you want on the list, FReepmail me. This IS a high-volume PING list...

No, it couldn't have been me in your dream. I only bathe once a month.

That's right, I remember jumping up and down in the dream
yelling, "TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT!! "TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT!!

;^)

Yeah, and I'd almost rather not bother. There's just something about the idea of sitting in my older siblings' e-coli infested bathwater that makes me a tad nauseous.

I'm reading, "Westward the Women" and the subject of bathing comes up. While crossing the Nation to the West, they went LONG, SWEATY stretches without even enough water for a fake bath. Those ladies were strong ladies...but they wore out quickly.

Hey you lug twenty-thirty gallons of water in to the house, (a gallon weighs roughly 8 pounds) and heat it on a wood burning stove and you will be recycling too.

God "would" do what He does. In this case he has empowered us with reason to figure out the problem and weapons to destroy the enemy. And He has left us with the choice, as He always has, to defend or betray His people.
