But I thought that the Democrats recently hired that gunslinger, George Lackoff, to teach them how to lie better?

The second is that its primary support organization, the labor movement, has just split.

Split or no, the union thugs will vote Democrat regardless.

In the 2004 elections, the Republican margin of victory wasn't that great, but there is no question but that they won...

Finally..! A Liberal newspaper that gets it..

But Her Thighness has got to at least try for the nomination. (I've already cut the stencil which says "Run, Hillary, Run" and want to spray paint it on the front of my snowplow.)

We would give equally apt Democratic advice to the Republicans if they were in the mess the Democrats are in: this page believes firmly that a strong, balanced two-party system is the essence of healthy American government.

What is there to do for the Democrats? Stop looking at old favorites; remember Mr. Clinton and look among the governors, particularly the Southern governors. Draw blood on the Republicans by pointing clearly at some of their most outrageous actions. Can anyone believe, for example, that the new energy bill gives fat new breaks to the oil companies, those Bush administration pals who are systematically emptying our wallets into their pockets at the gas pump?

Yikes! I was joking earlier about Dims evading reality, but this is the gift that just keeps on givin'...As long as they can't grasp the most basic principles of economics that permits our country to continue to provide strong incentive for productivity, they are doomed....DOOMED I TELL YOU!

a strong two party system is essential to the health of our nation-as long as one of then is not Democrat party. I've been writing to Ann Coulter asking her to form a new party and offering her my services as chief of staff and head masseur but strangely she has answered none of my six hundred letters.

A few "let's hate the Republicans" sentences but pretty good assessment overall. However, it has no obvious presidential candidate for 2008, seems odd.

The longer the dems are in the doldrums the more likely hillary will lead them.

Historical analogy to Germany of the 1930's.

New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, apparently mindless of her continuing high "hate" quotient.

This is so very true.

New Yorkers may think that Hillary is the best thing to come along since white bread, but there are many people elsewhere in the country who can't stand her or her husband.

If the Dems are stupid enough to put her up for president she'll have to confront those same people on the stump, and it won't be pretty for her. There's also the question of her temperament. If she freaks out in front of a hostile crowd even the biased MSM won't be able to cover for her.

Interesting. If one could search this paper's archives from the days when the DIMs were the unquestionably dominant national party, is it even remotely possible that this same attitude was present? ROTFLMAF

None of these people gave a crap about a two party system until the DIMs became the minority party. Kicks them off of their holier than thou perch, doesn't it?

Counting on a high "hate" factor, we need to band together and help the Green Party become stronger. I'm going to send them a few bucks and encourage them to put someone on the ballot other than a Nader wannabe. Divide and conquer.

The reason the Democrats are losing elections is that their ideas keep on being discredited. What's surprising is that they win as many elections as they do.

If Democrats lose in 2008, look for Howard Dean as the frontrunner for 2012.

Typical, asinine RATmedia dreaming. The Rove thing was an invented waste of media space "scandal" and didn't "scratch" the Pubbies at all. It did wound the RATs and the leftmedia, however.
