Why doesn't this mag do an investigation of Soros? Lots of scandal there, I'm sure.

Thanks. And your Murdoch analogy makes some sense.

"Interesting."

Indeed it is interesting. Did you happen to notice that the woman in the middle of the photograph is Kitty Carlisle Hart, Moss Hart's widow? Talk about face work. She has got to be in her nineties. Too bad she's one of them.

I don't know whether it has or it hasn't. But I'd agree that one probably wouldn't have much trouble turning up dirt on Soros.

Bump for later reading. This man sounds very interesting, but I hardly think that he is a George Soros, no one is that dark.

RICK RESCORLA's quick response to the Air Strike on Tower I on 9/11/01 gave 3,000 Morgan Stanley employees under his charge a full 18 minutes of already well practiced evacuation time to get out of Tower II before the 2nd Jetliner hit 3 stories above him.

Just minutes later he was turned into fine gray dust after just about everybody else got outta there.

“The biggest risk in trading is hubris.” This is because being wrong is actually an integral part of success. A successful futures trader makes many more losing trades than winning ones. The key is to recognize and concede the mistakes and cut losses. And ride the winners.

True in trading, true in life ... or as my mother used to say "if you're not over bidding some hands, you're not playing the game."

Just a guess but maybe the guy form Wayne's World, Mike Myers? Or, the guy that was in The Three Amigos with Steve Martin and Chevy Chase, can't think of his name.

If no one knows anything about Bruce Kovner, it is because he likes it that way.

Mr. Kovner would then be gratified to know that I, Graymatter-who-reads-everything, could not make it through five paragraphs of this article about him. I started to doze off, although maybe it was just from the high concentration of conservative names in a small enclosed space, Bush, Cheney, Perle, Frum, Rubin, Lynne Cheney, zzzzzzzzzz... I only came to when I noticed Kitty Carlisle is still alive.

Not Mike Myers. But your second guess does get you, oh, I don't know, 3 points? Martin Short's the guy. Not bad, though, not bad.
