As a child, Helena Aldridge developed a passion for defending the rights of others.Really, how many children in the 21st century really develop a meaningful passion and track record for defending the rights of others? Haha!

Good for her, I would think that there would be some scholarship minded Freepers that could stand in the gap, and then some for her!

Not really...

wait until she discovers the ACLU's soviet roots and ongoing socialist agenda.
If she believes private property rights are essential and natural rights, she will soon LOATHE the ACLU

group that ardently defends individual rights: the American Civil Liberties Union. What a crock. The American Communist Lawyers Union was founded by Communist sympathizers and its first cases were defending Communists. We all know where Communists stand on the issue of individual rights ...

Question: Why didn't someone tell her the ACLU was founded by Commies with the destruction of the USA from within in mind?

"Now on the brink of adulthood, the 18-year-old finds herself in disagreement with a group that ardently defends individual rights: the American Civil Liberties Union."The only thing the ACLU defends is the destruction of America. Great to hear some 18 year olds have a head on their shoulders.

They felt that since she was involved in the youth chapter of her local NAACP branch that she was a "fellow traveler." I'm happy to see that she is standing up for her own morals and convictions. I'm also thrilled that her parents are supporting her and her decision.
I'm sure she'll find other monies for school.

Now on the brink of adulthood, the 18-year-old finds herself in disagreement with a group that ardently defends individual rights: the American Civil Liberties Union Sounds like she is already an adult and with a mind of her own just something the ACLU does not approve of
As for ardently defending individual rights that only counts if you an ANTI-AMERICAN individual !
