I understand many of us have family obligations we can't get out of on short notice.

You're right about the terrorists paying attention to what is said in Congress as well as what happens in our streets. Many times it is hard to tell who is speaking-- a leader of the Democratic party or a leader of Al Qaeda--because their words are so much alike.

"I want to ask the president, why did you kill my son? What did my son die for?" Sheehan, carrying a picture of her son, told reporters.

While my sympathies go to her for her loss I would want to ask her why her son joined the military. Was it okay when someone else's son or daughter was being killed in other wars?

"The march was led by Cindy Sheehan, 48, of Vacaville, California, who blames Bush for the death of her son, Army Specialist Casey Sheehan, 24, killed on April 4, 2004, in Sadr City, Baghdad.

"I want to ask the president, why did you kill my son? What did my son die for?" Sheehan, carrying a picture of her son, told reporters.

"W. killed her son! W. killed her son!" the crowd shouted. They also shouted "Bring the troops home now" and held up signs with slogans such as "Impeach the Chicken-Hawk-in-Chief."

I think that FDR should have been hung.

After all, he killed 250,000 sons, right?

For some reason I'm immune to chiggers. When we camp my pals are always bitchin' about them. I've never been bit (or whatever they do) once.

FUNDED is right...that bus that Sheehan is in is outfitted with bunk beds and all kinds of goodies for waiting for the POTUS to come out and tell he why HE killed her son...

Unless her son left her some big bucks in a life insurance policy, someone is paying for that bus...

If I remember correctly, the last time there was a protest down there, the media concentrated on that ex-Sen. from Georgia, Max Cleland---not the protest protestors...I think the media make a point of only showing the anti-Bush crowd...

BTW, that could have been when Cleland met with the guy that fakes Bush's TNG papers...

Good afternoon.
"...and they will grow unless normal Americans get out there and tell them to take a hike."

They will grow, no matter what we do. There is an important election next year and another in '08. There is also the possibility that W gets to appoint several SC justices and the left is getting desperate. They will try to fire up their base with protest.

I wonder how the MSM will report the fact that most Americans are no longer liberal.

Good! Maybe the heat will do them some good.

Pathetic excuses for human beings.

You are right about this grieving process...

but, some of the parents are already anti-war, anti-Bush before their child is killed...so they are just "using" them as well...

I don't know for sure about this Sheehan, but I am pretty sure, that any parent that AGREES to go on TV the same night they find out their child is dead, probably already has an agenda...

This group may soon show up at your young family's local school, telling your kids that your nephew was a murderer of Iraqi women and children.

What will you do then?

I'm with you, raw'. Had we used h-bombs on 9-12 things would be way different today and for a long time. (Different = better.)

LOL---I had to get out my Texas map a few minutes ago, to find out exactly where Crawford is in relation to Fort Worth...

It isn't very far, about 1 1/2 hour drive, even going back roads...

I don't think, though, that there is a Freeper group from the Dallas-Ft. Worth area...if there is, I would love to know about it...

I live in Arlington, which is between Dallas and Ft. Worth, which is northeast of Crawford...Crawford is pretty close to WACO, which is the "biggest" city close to it...

My son is a flight instructor, and told me it is faster to drive, because the airspace over Crawford extends so far out, that it doesn' even pay to take a small plane down there...

If these idiots want to protest in the 100 degree Texas heat, let them. Maybe it'll sweat the foolishness out of them. It wasn't well publicized. We didn't hear about it beforehand, and there were only 70 of the poor, misguided lefties. Wish it had been two weeks ago when I was filling deer feeders out there with our hunting group. We might have run into each other.

The woman's son volunteered. Bush didn't twist his arm. She demeans his sacrifice.

Who funds "Veterans for Peace" and their bus?

The news crews covering the president in Crawford were awakened from their boredom today.

Chris Matthews is an anti-war propogandist. He should get a time slot on Al Jazeera. The Lib media is hoping to defeat our troops on the home front as they did in Vietnam. Unfortunately, some Conservatives have also towed the Soros/Matthews/ Ted Kennedy anti-war Lib line. Just look at some of the pathetic 'Conservatives' the MSM media likes to spotlight: Voinobitch the anti-Bolton crybaby, Lindesy Graham crying for terrorists rights at Club Gitmo, Jack Ass Robert Novak who, I am sorry to say, articulates the same surrender first foreign policy as Jimmy Carter.

That ranch in Crawford is an ideal presidential retreat. Protesters can't get anywhere near it.

Did you hear Maxine Waters speech in California last week?

JD Hayworth played some of it on Laura Ingraham's show..

Maxine Waters and Barbara Lee are both paid representatives of this country...which gives them "cred" in other countries, unfortunately..

She was telling the street gangs in California to quit fighting each other and direct their hatred at Bush instead. She said the same thing about young people---she said "if any of you have problems that cause you to want to lash out at your parents or friends, turn that anger toward President Bush"...then went on to say that all of the blood of the dead troops is on Bush, Cheny, Rummy...

Now, Al-Jazeera picks that up....and our troops hear that..and then see the press conference with these same people basically calling them failures, because since the war is a failure, they are, because they are the ones fighting it...
