Hmmmm... I just watched the movie "Behind the enemy lines". Although it might be a dumb movie but it reminded me of the true story of Capt. Scott O'Grady who was shot down over Bosnia.
The film is centred around the Srebrenica Massacre. Admiral Leslie Reigart's (Hackman) carrier battle group is in the final stages of a NATO peace keeping deployment when the F/A-18F Super Hornet of Chris Burnett (Wilson) and his pilot is shot down by renegade Serbian forces.
The resulting attempts to rescue the downed aviator are complicated by political considerations which are enforced on Reigart by his NATO commanding officer Admiral Piquet (Joaquim de Almeida.)
In Bosnia, the lone U.S. soldier attempts to evade Serbian troops and a hired assassin. After dodging special forces, mine fields, and tanks, he manages to contact the carrier. After retrieving photographic evidence of the massacres, he is rescued in a dramatic helicopter rescue mission.
The film was based on a true story of a downed U.S. soldier who managed to survive behind enemy lines. Admiral Reigart, because he disobeyed Piquet's orders of not sending in a search and rescue team, is reassigned to an "administrative" position in Washington. However, quoting the film, "Admiral Reigart decided to resign from the Navy with the respect of all his men."
The movie is based on the experiences of former United States Air Force captain Scott O'Grady, who was shot down on June 2, 1995 over Bosnia. He managed to survive for six days before being rescued.
Thought this might be a good opportunity to salute all our men and women in uniform, serving their country.

The best thing about that movie was that it made the European NATO guy look like a Clymer.
The guy was French!
I don't understand though... France is not a military member of NATO.
They take part in political branch of NATO not the Military one!
I've seen the movie. Not bad.
That movie had great potential and some good moments but the hollywood prescription for larger-than-life stunts and unbelievable special effects ruined it.
Maybe he was supposed to be Belgian?
Pull the tinfoil hat down a little tighter. Some of the rays are getting through.
Knowledgeable people noted that the massacre scene of "Behind Enemy Lines" in the main characters' flashbacks, the supposedly "Serb" soldiers are wearing the Croat insignia, including the sahovnica:
And people who've watched both movies recognize that part from towards the end of the movie "Savior" where Croats massacre Muslims at a lake edge.
