I think that may be the start of a pro-gun rights trend among Democrats.Would that it were so. Democrats, if nothing else, can be excellent tacticians. As soon as they sense that they have the power to do so, out again will come all the collectivist, freedom stealing proposals they couldn't sneak through before.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1457636/posts see this post for John Lott's comments on American Hunters and Shooters Association - a Fake gun group set up by Democrats to advance the cause of gun control - very similar to Americans for Gun Safety, Trojan Horses both!

BTW, you do know you are on the same side as communist hugo chavez on CAFTA. As a conservative Democrat yourself, you should welcome the support of folks like RightDemocrat on RKBA issues even if you have some disagreements in other areas.

Regardless of how many dems start to vote for Gun Rights, the gun owners of this country are voting straight Republican Ballots. If the choice was bteween a pro-gun Dem and an anti-gun Republican, I go Democrat. Of course this is not a likely scenario, but keep in mind that I am in New Jersey and anything is possible here.

I would go anti-gun Republican. There's that chance voting for the dem would change the majority to the anti-gun party[dem].
