George J. Esseff, Sr. spent more than $100,000 to run this ad in the Washington Post
george@esseff-foundation.org
In todays America, ask a growing number of high school and college students; their teachers and professors; the self-anointed media elite and/or hard working men and women of all ethnicities, the question, What is a Republican?, and youll be told a rich, greedy, egotistical individual, motivated only by money and the desire to accumulate more and more of it, at the expense of the environment the working poor .and all whom they exploit
I am a Republican I am none of those things and I dont know any Republicans who are.
WHAT I AM first and foremost, is a loving husband of some 52 plus years, the father of four and an American whos proud of his country and his countrys heritage.
WHAT I AM is the grandson of immigrants who risked everything, including their lives and those of their children, to escape tyranny in search of freedom

No.
WE ARE REPUBLICANS BECAUSE
We believe that our governments most solemn duty is to keep its citizens safe.
We believe a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit will keep our economy strong and provide more opportunities for workers and families.
We believe that free enterprise and the encouragement of individual initiative and incentive have given this nation an economic system second to none.
We believe in building an innovative economy to compete in the world, because America can compete with anyone, anywhere, thanks to our entrepreneurs and risk-takers who keep us on the cutting edge of technology and commerce.
We believe in strengthening our communities, because our children deserve to grow up in an America in which all their hopes and dreams can come true.
We believe in protecting our families, and I respect the familys role as a touchstone of stability and strength in an ever changing world.
(and my personal favorite...)
We choose strength over uncertainty, results over rhetoric, optimism over pessimism, opportunity over dependence, freedom over fear, and moving forward over turning back.
Finally, we believe that the Republican Party is the best suited to preserve, protect, and defend these ideals.
God Bless America!!!

Great ad! Everyone should read the entire ad - it is well worth the time!
Thanks, but there are others who view even Republicans as wimpy Leftists.
'Tis true.
I can only speak for myself, but that sounds a lot like me! ;-)
And I assume you good republican woman also believe in protecting the life the unborn child from those who may choose to end it?
Ah....We ALL KNOW how to prevent childbirth before it happens now, too.
Isn't it funny how the athiests, condom throwers, abortion enthusiasts, Hollywood drunks, gold-chained union "organizers", screeching feminists, welfare administrators, permanent race "vicitms", and the rest of the government-addicted losers, parasites, and malcontents who make up the Democrat "base" view the very people they want to steal from?
Pshaw.
Everyone knows there are only two types of Republicans: the "greedy" and powerful kind mentioned above, and the redneck NASCAR dads and Christians who are so stupid they just doesn't realize they're voting against their own interests.
That's why we have those smart liber-... uh, progressives around to tell us all how to think!
years ago the rule of thumb was, if you want to be rich you become a republican, if you want to be poor you become a democrat...
One day she was challenging her father on his beliefs; particularly, his opposition to programs like welfare. He stopped her and asked her how she was doing in school.
She answered that she had a 4.0 GPA but it was really tough. She had to study all the time, never had time to go out and party and often went sleepless because of all the studying. She didn't have time for a boyfriend and didn't really have many college friends because of all her studying.
He then asked how her friend Mary, who was attending the same college, was doing.
She replied that she was barely getting by. She had a 2.0 GPA, never studied, was very popular on campus and was at parties all the time, and she often wouldn't show up for classes because she was hung over.
He then asked his daughter why she didn't go to the Dean's office and ask why she couldn't take 1.0 off her 4.0 and give it to her friend who only had a 2.0 GPA. That way they would both have a 3.0 GPA.
The daughter fired back, "That wouldn't be fair! I worked really hard for mine and my friend has done nothing!"
The father smiled and said, "Welcome to the Republican Party!"
" The father smiled and said, "Welcome to the Republican Party!"
That was excellent.
That is great story! Is it based on a real event?
Because alcohol and physics don't mix.
Nice tag.
series though, Republicans are AMERICANS!!! i still haven't figured out what the RATS are yet, other than Commie Treehuggers that is...

Well, this certainly sounds like the fiscally conservative side of the party. You know, the ones who love it when people like people like Sen. Snowe and Gov. Pataki get elected. Anything to protect their money..
Yep, certainly sounds like the worse half of the party..
(Putting on asbestos suit in anticipation of being flamed by money worshiping side of the party)..
