Safeway Cappuchino blend, fresh ground, with whipping cream and Splenda -better than anything Starbucks can make, and one bag of the Safeway blend is less than two latte's at Starbucks. Invest in a good coffee maker and grinder, a cappuchino machine, and freeze your coffee - you'll save a ton of money, and it'll taste better. Costco sells Bay Blend, which is acceptable too (but tends to go stale in the warehouse). Find coffee that's sold frozen, that's the freshest, you won't believe how much better truly fresh beans are. My brother owns a small coffee company, out of Anchorage (Silverhook), and learned from him what **good** coffee is.
I make a pot in the morning, fill the thermos for work, and I'm good to go.
Starbucks coffee is typically stale, overpriced, and you're supporting liberal whackjobs. 'Nuff said.
Craig Ferguson (CBS' Late Late Show)claims to have been trying to get the chairman of Starbucks on his show to explain
why some of their stores don't have bathrooms in them. It's a hoot to hear Craig go on about it- and then compare their coffee and prices to McDonald's coffee and prices (and bathrooms!)- so he said that he was going to invite the chairman of McDonalds on his show.
If you haven't watched Craig Ferguson yet, I recomend him. He's the first host in years to remind me of Johnny Carson in any way- not his humor, so much, as his laid back style, and not letting it get to him if his humor doesn't work (and then making a joke of that). I get up early, but the Late Late Show is on my DVR every day now!
....In my best Irish brogue, from the "Ambrosia" episode of "Battlestar Galactica".........."aiyyyyy, nowwwww...just what is this crrrime 'Starbookin'?..........
