Next year is an election year. There's no reason why candidates from coast to coast, whatever they are running for, shouldn't have to answer the Terri question.

That's the only way to separate noble candidates from the bought off phonies.

Meanwhile, Vigilers are going to trial and their trespasses were upped to incitement to riot. I was there. It didn't happen. The police are lying if they were the witnesses.

So are you being called by any defense attorneys on behalf of the persecuted? If not, why not?

Or perhaps the defense attorneys are part of the evil Florida cabal of evil.

As to this:

When they killed Terri, they killed God.

You should have that made into a bumper sticker. Oops, I forgot, you don't have a bumper anymore, right?

I saw on the news that Charlie Crist wants a murder investigation of a bombing that happened in 1951. It seems that the man killed was involved in the civil rights movement and president of the NAACP in Brevard prior to his death. I would like to see all murders solved but chances are pretty slim on one that's 54 years old.
Seems like Charlie could have spoken up years ago if he really wanted this crime solved.
I can't help but believe he's using this to get the NAACP to back him in next years election.

House Conservative Leader Proposes Bill About End-Of-Life Decisions

The president of the Mississippi Legislative Conservative Coalition says he'll push a bill next year to "preserve a person's life'' if there's a family disagreement about whether a vegetative patient would want to remain hooked to feeding tubes or other machines.

Rep. Joey Fillingane, R-Sumrall, said the bill is a response to the case of Terri Schiavo, the Florida woman who died of dehydration in March after her feeding tube was removed.

Schiavo had lived in a persistent vegetative state for 15 years, and her husband and parents had a long-running legal dispute about her end-of-life wishes. The feeding tube was removed after courts sided with her husband, who said she wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive artificially.

Fillingane said his proposal would not affect Mississippians who have living wills or other documents that express their wishes.

"The Schiavo instance was more where you had disagreement among the relatives,'' he said. "And where you have a disagreement and you can't find an agreement on that issue, the state's position at the state court level that reaches there would be defaulting toward life.''

Fillingane spoke Monday at a luncheon sponsored by the Capitol press corps and Mississippi State University's John C. Stennis Institute of Government.

In Louisiana, a new law that took effect this year bars a violent husband or wife who causes his or her spouse to be terminally injured from making decisions about whether that spouse is taken off life support. It also prevents someone estranged from a disabled spouse and living with another person from making decisions for that spouse.

The proposal, inspired by the Schiavo case, originally would have assumed that a person without a living will wanted to be kept alive indefinitely with feeding or hydration tubes. It was changed during the legislative process.

Ding! We have a winner!

It's not a new insight, of course, but it can't be repeated often enough. Power corrupts. Office holders don't wield power long before they becoming disgusting.

I sense that you want to say something about Michael Schiavo but are unable to get it out. Perhaps you are too shy or else you have bottled up your true feelings. We are your friends. It's OK to express yourself here.

Well, Mississippi and Louisiana aren't as STUPID or POSSESSED as the state of Florida. Florida is in the killing business. Other states don't want to become the butt of jokes like floriduh is.

It's called caring for the disabled, not disposing of them after torturing them.

Ah....T'wit, you ol dog you, your senses are so accurate...hehe...and try as I might, I would never be able to say what is upon my heart about that monster...I try to get it down in print...I do....but the immensity of the evil this man has done simply leaves me dumbfounded!

How does one describe the evil within that monster in a brief way? It is not possible.

<< Dr. Ronald Cranford aka "Dr. Death" is hosting a seminar in Minneapolis on September 22-23, 2005 entitled "33 Years of Clinical Ethics in Minnesota: Ron Cranford's Stories of Heroes and Courage".

Michael Schiavo is featured as one of the speakers. Schiavo and Jay Wolfson (guardian ad litem) will give a talk on Terri.

10:15 – 12:00 Landmark Cases: The Family Perspective
Christine Busalacchi in Missouri
Pete Busalacchi
Terri Schiavo in Florida
Michael Schiavo and Jay Wolfson

You can download a pdf of the conference schedule here [ http://www.hcmc.org/education/cme/documents/Cranfordethicsbrochure_004.pdf ]

Ronald Cranford (a doctor responsible for a great many feeding tube removals and who proposes hastening the deaths of Alzheimer's patients) touts Michael Schiavo as a "hero" or someone of "courage."

Jay Wolfson was (supposedly) an independent Guardian ad Litem, appointed by Chief Justice David Demers, over the objections of Terri Schiavo's family. Their objections stemmed from comments Wolfson made, prior to his appointment, that illustrated his bias towards removing Terri's feeding tube.>>

BUMP; thanks for posting that info. Sponsored by the Hennepin County Medical Center.

His first burden is establishing his inability to file within 2 years...

Well, that one's easy - 'Your Honor, I couldn't file within the 2 year SOL because I was tied up in the courts trying to get my wife killed.'

With the recent news of Michael and Jodi getting married, I was just scouting around on old threads, and came across this one again. Would you be a sweetheart and look to see if there have been any updates to add to this file? I am wondering how it panned out. Thanks in advance!

Thanks for checking! So I wonder what the status of it is. Is there a way to tell if they granted the extension or whatever he was hoping to accomplish? Thanks for the tip on the log-in, too!

I'm assuming it's a dead issue.....but, of course, not certain. This matter cannot languish forever in the court system, though I don't know how long it can just be (as it appears) completely inactive. I would assume inactivity means that there's some difficulty coming up with enough evidence to pursue this....but that's all speculation, of course.

Okay, thanks! I guess I'll just have to hope that someone in the media decides to check on it from time to time and put out the word if anything comes of it. Michael is a serial litigant, so I don't expect that this will be the last from him in that regard.

Wonder how all the Michael defenders feel about this. I'd like to hear their 'defense' of this lawsuit. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

My guess is that Michael Schiavo will win this suit.

My guess is that Michael Schiavo will win this suit.

He's only filed to have the statute of limitations waived. He hasn't actually filed suit yet.

What makes you think he will win it?

It's not enough he killed her- he now wants to punish those who didn't want him to kill her sooner.
There is no name for evil like this, but there is punishment for it. His time is coming. The evil you do comes back to you.
