If Mick and Company perform Sweet Neo-Con in concert, they're going to be booed like they've never been booed before.

No doubt Mic Jagger wrote this diddy while lounging at his mountainside retreat in Jamaica.

Publicity gimmick to gin up free advertising and interest in their "lets rake a little more while we can still move" tour. Otherwise it is a non-event garnering only senior center excitement and AARP enthusiasm.

If Mick is so into current events, perhaps he should consider writing a little tune about the group that's presently setting off bombs in London.

Nevermind...that would take a little courage.

Mick was knighted at one point. I wonder if Her Majesty is regretting it now.

I certainly do.

Mick, if you're reading this - you disappoint me. The left wingers who gobble this kind of crap up are not opposing the establishment; they ARE the establishment. You sold out your libertarian principles.

Regards, Ivan

I would be surprised if they do the song. Jagger is already backpedaling, claiming the song is not directly aimed at GWB (although of course it is). It amazes me how people like Jagger and Springsteen think that suddenly their politcal opinions need to be expressed, and that whatever those opinons may be, this won't automatically turn off thousands of fans who don't share their views. How do they get it into their heads that this is a career enhancer?

"Life is good at Halliburton."

I guess the Stones forgot about Halliburton employees lost in Iraq. Nice sensitivity.

They won't be booed if they do it live because nobody will hear it. As soon as it starts, the entire crowd will run to the bathrooms or the concession stands, just like they will every time the Stones play any song written after 1981.

No they won't - between the liberals who will swarm to the concerts, and those too stoned too care, there won't be an outcry of any sort.

I just wich the Stones would roll off the planet...

Let's stop calling him "Mick" and start calling him "Gramps" Jagger. This is like having the '60's generation sitting awestruck while Rudy Valee musics their rebellion and protest. It's absurdist theatre. I wish I could Photoshop well enough to do a picture of Toby Keith putting a boot in Gampa Mick's a$$. (Paste a pair of those stupid lame lips on Jagger's face too.)

Did I hear correctly that the NFL is going to use this Jagger rant disguised as a song for a weekly theme song? If this is true, I have yet another reason not to watch any NFL this fall. Local games only--go Sooners!

I thought the Stones' last tour was their farewell tour.

Nobody gives a damn what the Rolling Stones think or say. As far as public policy or any kind or rational thought are concerned, they are irrelevant.

Stuffed all of their info into the Postage Paid Envelope along with an exhortation to watch who they associate themselves with. Maybe they can have M Jagger write a tune in response to the terrorists in London or something like that...
Put it in the mail!
