He'll choke. Can't win anyplace without wide fairways (for him) and glass greens (harder for competitors).

True he has erased some big deficits ... but........with this course set-up anything under par is a very good round, and he has a heck of a lot of good golfers in front of him. I would never count him out but it doesn't look good. At least he has Elin to comfort him!

Man injured after tree falls down

Tiger Woods' second round at the USPGA was held up for 10 minutes after a large chunk of a tree snapped and fell down on a television cameraman.

The man was trapped under the heavy branch and needed medical treatment for his injuries, which are not believed to be serious.

The incident happened on the short par-three fourth hole.

Woods and playing partners Michael Campbell and Kevin Sutherland looked on anxiously while the man was helped.

Tiger is currently two-over through five holes, plus-seven for the tournament, with the cut currently at plus-three. He better get a move on or he is going to run out of holes. For him to miss the cut would be nothing short of flabbergasting.

Well, I've heard New Jersey is rotten to the core.

Someone must have just teed off with their tree wood.

Nine of my friends are there today. I was supposed to be the tenth, but couldn't miss work today.

I hope the branch didn't land on any of them. Might have made them drop their beer.

Might have made them drop their beer.

I hate when that happens!
Those are likely expensive beers too.

"Jealous?"

LOL! Not hardly. My point is, the media attention give to Tiger is way out of proportion to his success. One of the greatest of all time? Absolutely. Worthy of twice as much press as all other golfers combined? No way.

I have to laugh when the announcers start billing and cooing over Tiger's length and accuracy.

It was John Daly that reached the 17th in two yesterday while Tiger's second shot ended underneath someone's lawn chair.

Too bad Daly can't putt. :-(

What's this new weenie way of playing golf? They put the top of the club against their chest for leverage, and putt. It's so stupid looking. I never would have gotten interested in golf if I originally saw men putting this way. Men, please stop - you look like weenies.

Daly is not on roids like Tiger either. This is getting to be a joke for the PGA.
