The photo Cindy Sheehan did not want the world to see: President Bush plants a consoling kiss on the cheek of grieving antiwar protester Cindy Sheehan last year at Fort Lewis, Washington.
Mrs. Sheehan is staging a protest vigil in Crawford, Texas demanding a second meeting with President Bush to demand an explanation for why her son, Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, was killed in Iraq a year ago April.
The photo of the president consoling Mrs. Sheehan, and a companion photo from the meeting, used to be hosted on Mrs. Sheehan's tribute site to her son. The site, called Casey's Peace Page also contains information about Mrs. Sheehan's antiwar and anti-Bush activities.
However, the photos were removed some time ago, but the hosting page and captions were left there until this week when they were removed along with a copy of the now-controversial Vacaville Reporter article, after that article which contradicts Mrs. Sheehan's current account of her meeting with the president was publicized by the Drudge Report.
The images were found in Google's image cache by Freeper Hipaatwo.
Sweet link. I think exposing this woman is one of my personal crusades now.
Not sure if this gives more definition....
If it's not a Yahoo or Whitehouse pic, it wouldn't have been on the Dose.
Good thought, though........we can check back through just to make sure, but those private meetings with family members of the fallen are almost always (if not always) private, and without any media coverage.
That's because the President, unlike Ms Sheehan, actually does care about the families of those who have died in this war.
"If you lost a child, you might feel differently."
Maybe. But as one who has lost a child, you don't necessarily do whacko things like this. There were plenty of people I could have blamed for my son's death. And I could have made life miserable for a lot of people, being as I have a law degree. But I didn't. I knew everyone did what they believed was right under the circumstances (except the SOB who kidnapped him and I believe he was mentally ill) and I let it go. So grief isn't an excuse.
Cindy is deeply into denial about her son's conservative beliefs. As a liberal, she believes conservatives are evil and if her son acted conservative it was only because he had been deluded. It isn't grief over the death. It is grief over his life.
lol.... I know
The White House wouldn't release those photos to the media. They give them to the families. Mrs. Sheehan made them public.
You can consider the media relevant if you wish, I don't.
If you want to make some big deal out of some woman camping out in texas to get attention - please knock yourself out.
I voted for him twice, worked my butt off and lost a lot of sleep over him! I want my kiss!
Well , maybe one day..
This is true. Even on reality TV shows, normal people won't just keep lying when it's obvious they've been caught.
It would take a bizarre person not to come clean.
Thank you, kristinn!!!
Cindy acts as though Bush has never lost a family member. She seems to ignore the fact that his sister, Robin, died of leukemia in 1953.
so why should we promote the agenda of yet another liar?
Promote the agenda?
I'm against promoting the agenda of liars.
Actually. . the White House has a photographer record these events, and every other event/appearance, duty, what-have-you.
This White House has photos of the meet but has too much class to get in the dirt. . .unlike Clinton. . .that duo would have trotted out the photos the very second something like this thing happened.
I guess if I say I want an oompa loompa now, I will be accused of being a brat? I want my kiss! LOL
