The photo Cindy Sheehan did not want the world to see: President Bush plants a consoling kiss on the cheek of grieving antiwar protester Cindy Sheehan last year at Fort Lewis, Washington.
Mrs. Sheehan is staging a protest vigil in Crawford, Texas demanding a second meeting with President Bush to demand an explanation for why her son, Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, was killed in Iraq a year ago April.
The photo of the president consoling Mrs. Sheehan, and a companion photo from the meeting, used to be hosted on Mrs. Sheehan's tribute site to her son. The site, called Casey's Peace Page also contains information about Mrs. Sheehan's antiwar and anti-Bush activities.
However, the photos were removed some time ago, but the hosting page and captions were left there until this week when they were removed along with a copy of the now-controversial Vacaville Reporter article, after that article which contradicts Mrs. Sheehan's current account of her meeting with the president was publicized by the Drudge Report.
The images were found in Google's image cache by Freeper Hipaatwo.
I know you're right about the private meetings, but any mention of a picture of President Bush reminds me of the Dose. I just got carried away. LOL
Then perhaps it's a good time for you to find another thread.
One more worth your valuable time and intellect.
*Cindy Sheehan Ping*
"I just get the impression that a whole bunch of folks here are just a little obsessed."
Yes. Right. Have you been to DU lately? It's a veritable study in OCD.
Even if they took one for the family, they wouldn't release it. I wasn't thinking in my earlier post.
I don't recall this so I don't know if it's true, but it sounds about right. Take as you will, from a reader: Jonah: Do you recall Randy Shugard? Randy was the Army Ranger who, along with another Ranger, went into a crash site in Mogadishu to set up a protective perimeter around a crashed Blackhawk helicopter. For this action, Sgt. (I think) Shugard and his Ranger compatriot were awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor (posthumously). At the Medal ceremony, Randy Shugard's father told then President Clinton that he (Clinton) was "unfit to be Commander-in-Chief" when President Clinton attempted to speak to Mr. Shugard.
I remember seeing one mention of the incident in the press at the time, alnog with a single picture of Mr. Shugard with a stern look on his face and President Clinton with what appeared to be surprise (if not shock). Otherwise, the MSM did not give any coverage to this incident. What do you think the press coverage would have been if President Bush had been the recipient of that type of parental outrage? I think we have a good idea from the coverage of Cindy Sheehan.
Keep up the good work.
Only to those who don't care about the lives of our soldiers endangered by, and quite probably lost because of this kind of anti-American propaganda.
I'm surprised you'd admit that on a conservative forum, White Guy.
Your hatred for Bush has numbed your conscience just exactly as it has the left. It's an amazing and disgusting thing to witness.
:) You are just the fastest poster I know.
LOL! No problem Krodg.
Depends on how one defines "important" of course. When the MSM gets their claws on it, it is de facto "important."
:-)
No wonder he rebelled against her and became a real American.
I'm sure that somewhere on the net there is a website about Barbie doll collecting, but I don't go on there and post "This doll is just not that important" two dozen times a day. Apparently some folks need the attention...just like Cindy.
"the lives of our soldiers endangered by, and quite probably lost because of this kind of anti-American propaganda"
So you're suggesting that some woman camping out in texas will "probably" cause American deaths?
Yeah, I prefer Crackpot Sh!thead myself.
Bingo!
"Look at ME!" Look at ME!!" "Aren't I cute??"
It's all for attention. If he had anything of substance to say it would be different. 12 year old maturity...........I've taught Jr. High. I've seen this kind of thing many times before. ;)
