The Heart of Texas Chapter of FreeRepublic.com is holding a rally in Crawford, Texas today to show America's support for our troops, President Bush and the war on terrorists in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere around the world.
The rally will be held at noon at the Crawford Civic Center at 1000 4th Street.
Freepers are coming from near and far to join the H.O.T. Chapter in Crawford. If you live within four hours drive of Crawford, it's not too late to hit the road and get on down there.
Folks in attendance will be calling in to me, Brad's Gramma and Jeff Head with live updates from the scene. I am told that cellphone coverage in Crawford is spotty. However, it may have gotten better of late.
We'll see.

I think it is a good thing to encourage people to show their support for our troops in anyway they can at anytime- in any place. Some people don't see themselves as "protesters" until they read a thread like this- so if this thread encourages people to go to Crawford or to go anywhere else in the future and stand in support of our troops- then talking about it here is a good thing.

True, and Cindy has already stated that America is not worth dying for. So the leftists will have to forgive me, but I really don't see how her son's brave sacrifice can say that much about her character, except to say that her hatred of her country was not passed on to her son.

I think it's hilarious that the fool is pontificating about people dying to protect my freedom, when I'm the one with a husband who's been to Iraq twice to protect that fool's right to hate America and the military.

I know a few soldiers who have died, and none of their mothers are making such a mockery of their memory.
Only since Viet Nam, Hanoi Jane and John Kerry have those disloyal to our country felt safe enough to mouth their hate of country during a war. This woman would not have gotten a forum in the press during WWII. She mocks the mothers that have lost a soldier.

Do you or anyone else here know if this support rally will take place every weekend that the President is in Crawford?
The TWO days I went to sleep early, and look at all I have missed. I am only in north Dallas, so attending one of these would be easy for me. Were it not for school starting on Monday, I would be down in Crawford in two hours.

I have wondered what is stopping officials from indicting all these traitors (Sheehan, Moore, Kerry, Fonda and CLINTON) with treason. It is a scary thought to think why not. It has nothing to do with their freedoms, as they all hinder ours.
