"From Sept. 29, 2000 to August 2, 2005:

Israeli Dead: 974
Palestinian Dead: 3661

Bunk.

1. (and most obvious) The "Palestinian dead" includes the suicide bombers. The Israelis did not kill the suicide bombers. Hello?

2. The number of Palestinian dead includes the Palestinian victims of Palestinian bombs planted on busses. The Israelis did not kill them. Hello?

3.The number of Palestinian dead includes Palestinians killed while building bombs. The Israelis are not responsible for idiotic "industrial accidents" in Palestinian "factories." Hello?

4. The number of "Palestinian dead" includes those killed by rival factions of Palestinian thugs. The Israelis are not responsible for this. Hello?

5.The number of of Palestinian dead includes innocent Palestinians which the terrorists use as human shields. The Israelis are not responsible for this. Hello?

6. The number of Palestinian dead includes targeted killings of terrorist child-killers. The Israelis ARE responsible for this. and you can blubber all you want into your keyboard in your unconsolable grief. Goodbye.

It's Tisha B'Av today.

Pretty sick coincidence. We love your tagline. May He protect your son, and everyone over there during these troubling times.

Everything you say is nullified by the victory you give the terrorists by succumbing to terror.

You lose your head and everything else when you tear apart your own as the enemy cheers.

Even those numbers would not work in the US Senate where the framers knew that you don't allow life or death decisions to be based on a tiny majority.

The Framers were wise enough to leave military decisions to the Commander-in-Chief and not put them up for a vote.

As I outlined in Post 340, it is the current military situation that puts Israelis at an increased risk of death.

The withdrawal behind the Israeli Wall is a decision made on the basis of sound military doctrine.

It is not a military decision to uproot your citizens, destroy their homes, livelihoods and places of worship and force them dig up their dead.

Maybe the Chinese and the old Soviets, the Nazis, thought those military decisions, but Democracies don't.

My arguments are based on sound military doctrine.

Your arguments are based on raw emotions.

If every military move other than forward is interpreted by you as a victory for your enemy, then you have handed over control of the movements of your armed forces to the enemy.

The most crushing defeats in military history have been suffered by commanders who were too proud and/or foolish to retreat when they were up against commanders that saw retreat as just one more tool in their military arsenal.

So. Israel gave up land.

And the bombings have already begun, in spite of what we were "promised".

What is the next step that she (Israel) should take to protect herself?

See 348

Even from a military viewpoint a retreat such as this is acknowledging defeat. Here at the hands of savages.

Israel has survived in a sea of barbarity because they Arabs knew Israel had the will to do what it takes to survive. If Israel running away is now in the equation, Israel is doomed. Every argument against staying in Gaza is equally applicable to Jews staying in the Mideast.

Napoleon's retreat from Moscow?

I prefer Sherman's doctrine.

Spare me the melodrama.

The Federal or State Government can order you to leave a soon to be disaster area and it can also raze you home to the ground if needed in order to establish a fire-break when fighting a forest fire.

Mandatory evacuation ordered for Florida's east coast

As for the graves, it is common sense not to leave them behind.

Thirty graves which are at risk of being washed away, are to be relocated from Lloyd's cemetery in Yallahs, St Thomas to another site in the community.

Living in a democracy does not mean that the Government will allow a community to commit mass suicide.
