Live thread for posting breaking news about the Gaza Explulsion which is set to begin within the hour...
Moving for a fire, you then return.
Forget harping on your military fantasies. The controlling issue here is Democracy. Sharon won in a landslide on a promise to never do this.
He said he would abide by the Likud decision. He lied. He said he would not retreat under fire. He lied
If you side's arguments are valid, take them to the people. If the people consent -then the people are fools- but so be it.
Suicide for all of Israel is when Israel shows weakness and runs from terror.
i get the sinking feeling that the west is slowly extricating itself from support of Israel."
Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah [and] against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people:all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.
Well, this world is either going to have a peaceful future, or a violent end."
And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
What's for dessert? :-(
Wow, those are beautiful pictures. Thanks for posting them. I don't want to think about what it's going to look like next year...
Have you guys thought this withdrawal from Gaza might be in prepaparation of something else? A massive hit on Iran perhaps? it seems to me Sharon is handling this the only feasible way... protect the Israeli people against impending dangers. This has the strokes of something else to come...

If this is any indication, it's more likely surrender to Iran.
I can't see how this will immunize him against recrimination for taking out Iran's nukes.
Natan Sharansky is a Russian immigrant, I believe. He was writing anti-Soviet books at the height of the Cold War. I read one of them many years ago. He is as opposed to the left as anyone you could find.
Prayers for my Israeli brothers. This reminds me of the forced evacuations by the Nazis, who often used Jewish police to do their dirty work.
Just wait until Israel does have to lob something over at Gaza. The media/commies of the world will go nuts. It will be Israel picking on "poor little Gaza".
No kidding. BTW, that question still hasn't been answered by the person I posted it to...
Jerusalem. (see Zachariah 12)
All of the "Stolen Lands" should be returned to their true owners...Texas to california
Ping again to y'all. Will is absolutely correct. This sets a precedent that they will work for all it's worth. Here comes the UN telling us what to do, and here come the traitors agreeing and kissing their butts.
Let's offer up a prayer for Israel during this dark time.
PS: This has got to be the worst thunderstorm I've ever seen up here.
And yes, the Palis are demanding all of Jerusalem"
And more:
THE PALESTINIAN NATIONAL CHARTER:
Resolutions of the Palestine National Council, July 1-17, 1968
Article 15: The liberation of Palestine, from an Arab viewpoint, is a national (qawmi) duty and it attempts to repel the Zionist and imperialist aggression against the Arab homeland, and aims at the elimination of Zionism in Palestine.
Another from the Ha'aretz ticker:
07:02 Ganei Tal residents decide to bar evacuating forces from entering settlement (Haaretz)
An Israeli woman leans over a grave as she grieves in the Gush Katif cemetery (which will be dug up). Hundreds of resident of the settlement bloc of Gush Katif came to the cemetery to pray one last time before the Israeli government begins forcebily removing them from the Gaza Strip
A country's existential policy is not a popularity contest. Just ask the US. It remains to be seen how this country will react to Israel asserting its sovereign rights.
It may have escaped your notice but Israel is already vilified around the world. Its called oil, not principles. Those who have principles will stand with the only free, humanitarian democracy in the region.
Great photoshop... except isnt the bacon TURKEY bacon??
This is true. There will never be peace, and that is right out of the terrorist's mouths. That our president would say things like that, embarasses the hell out of me.
You cannot negotiate with a terrorist. Period.
Yes. I am of that opinion, and it coincides with Pres Bush's remarks that the United States and Israel ''are united in our objective to make sure that Iran does not have a weapon.''

Every house that has been evacuated is marked with a big "X" inside a circle.
