"Though apparently some do(!), I wouldn't call it an "Explusion" either."

And right you are. An expulsion it is not. Their stay on Gaza and the West Bank was a temporary stay since it never was their lands. A better way of putting it would be a "transfer of population" or an even better one, "rectification of frontiers."

A point often forgetten here. Israel never quite had the nerve to defy international (including American) opinion by actually annexing Gaza or the West Bank.

While not taking sides, I have no problem with someone calling it an "Expulsion".

First thread title: "Gaza Disengagement/Explulsion Live Thread"

Second (modified) title: "Gaza Disengagement/Explusion Live Thread"

Third version?...

Or from Pali view, the "ethnic cleansing" of Gaza. Next stop, the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Not their land? Are you going to give back your land to your local Indian tribe or Britain anytime soon?

Israel was attacked and won a battle. Generally, the spoils of war got to the victor. Except for Israel of course, right?
