"Playing to the wider world beyond FR?"
Having spent too much time here since I joined [yes...all of two weeks ago] I have to remind myself there's a wider world too, but there is, and it's the same one that Sheehan is playing to. While this guy is breaking no laws and, no doubt, a lot of fun, he is not the poster guy our side wants in the MSM. We have right and dignity on our side.
But I guess I spoke too soon and out of turn. No offence meant and, I hope, none too much taken.
"They do seem a senseless bunch."
darlin' - that's an understatement. She blames G-d, she blames Bush and she blames conservative Americans everywhere.
She's divorced, she's broke and it's just not her fault.
Funny how common sense and personal responsibility alludes these people. She needs to take a deep look into that shallow pool of a life before she starts finger pointing.
I refuse to believe there IS a wider world beyond FR. :0)
Geeze, we're getting overrun with them today.
Go crawl back under your bed. This board is for grownups.
I'd be tear-gassing the lot of them to get off of my property. Get the police out there to roust them.
Yep. 20mm antitank. Don't think it's the snub-nose version.
Last fall I had some liberal Ann Arbor relatives show up for a visit. When they came in the door they were bug eyed and ready to call the police, FBI, BATF, and anyone else who could save them.
When the relatives came down the drive I share with my neighbor he was getting ready to leave on his yearly turkey hunt. He was wearing full camo and had several guns laid out on the tailgate of his truck. The relatives saw nothing but a domestic terrorist planning a killing spree.
"Yeah, it's cool though. He says he practicing for dove hunting. Pass the Doritos..."
"Oh...bummer for the doves, though....wait...a minute...aren't we peace doves...?....?"
Silence fills the camp as the light bulb grows brighter..
Standing near his red pickup truck, an American flag in its bed held up by a beer carton, ranch owner Larry Mattlage made his feelings loud and clear Sunday by firing a rifle in the air during a prayer vigil held by Sheehan's supporters.
After Secret Service agents and McLennan County sheriff deputies responded and talked with him, Mattlage re-emerged from his property to air his grievances.
"At first I was sympathetic (with Sheehan), but they've been here a week," he said, standing behind his front gate and talking to a group of television cameras. "But it's like company - if you have your brother-in-law visiting, he starts stinking after a while."
Wearing jeans, boots and a white T-shirt, the bearded Mattlage, whose ranch is near Bush's, said he has never met the president but that he loves him anyway because the "good book says to love a neighbor."
Asked if he loved his new neighbors, Mattlage said: "I loved them for a week."
It is not illegal in Texas to fire a weapon on one's own property, so Mattlage was not arrested.

I thought he was funny. He sure took the spotlight didn't he?
You go guy, you tell em like it is....;)
fer later
>>>"Playing to the wider world beyond FR, how do you think gunshots near the President's ranch is going to play out? As stunts go, it doesn't seem too wise"<<<
#1 They are FIVE MILES from the Ranch
#2 It is Legal, he felt like doing it and he did it
#3 He is just reminding the pinkos that "Its Texas if your not from here and Shotguns bother you, go home"
#4 It is the Second Amendment protecting the Fifth Amendment (Remember back when we had a Constitution?)
Geeze, we're getting overrun with them today.
What's your objection to accurately stating what the media drones are doing? Perhaps you're making the mistake of imagining that I'm somehow in on it, on the media's side, or something equally silly? One would have to divorce reality to fail to notice that police were dispatched to the scene to ascertain whether a threat was intended, precisely because that interpretation was put on his action.
I wonder how many of those Moonbats wet themselves when they heard that 12 ga. barking?
Uh Oh, my bad. Thanks! *~*
He could go buy some fresh manure from the local dairy, and leave it right on the fence line to "cure."
