On Anderson Cooper 8/15/2005;
COOPER: You were also quoted as saying, "My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel. You get America out of Iraq and Israel out of Palestine and you'll stop the terrorism." How responsible do you believe Israel is for the amount of terrorism in the world?
SHEEHAN: I didn't say that.
COOPER: You didn't say that? OK.
SHEEHAN: I didn't -- I didn't say -- I didn't say that my son died for Israel. I've never said that. I saw somebody wrote that and it wasn't my words. Those aren't even words that I would say.
I do believe that the Palestinian issue is a hot issue that needs to be solved and it needs to be more fair and equitable but I never said my son died for Israel.
COOPER: OK, I'm glad I asked you that because, you know, as you know, there's tons of stuff floating around on the Internet on sites of all political persuasions.
SHEEHAN: I know and that's not -- yes.
COOPER: So, I'm glad we had the opportunity to clear that.
SHEEHAN: Yes, and thank you because those are not my words. Those aren't -- that doesn't even sound like me saying that.
COOPER: OK. I'm very glad we got that...
SHEEHAN: And I have read it. I have read it. I'm glad you did too.

"Am I emotional? Yes, my first born was murdered. Am I angry? Yes, he was killed for lies and for a PNAC Neo-Con agenda to benefit Israel. My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel. Am I stupid? No, I know full-well that my son, my family, this nation, and this world were betrayed by George [W.] Bush who was influenced by the neo-con PNAC agenda after 9/11. We were told that we were attacked on 9/11 because the terrorists hate our freedoms and democracy...not for the real reason, because the Arab-Muslims who attacked us hate our middle-eastern foreign policy. That hasn't changed since America invaded and occupied Iraq...in fact it has gotten worse."
And just in case you doubt the legitimacy of the letter in question, this from Rick Lowry at National Review today (The Corner) MORE SHEEHAN--PNAC OBSESSIVE [Rich Lowry ] The letter supposedly written by Sheehan has been circulating on the internet. Here's a choice bit: he was killed for lies and for a PNAC Neo-Con agenda to benefit Israel. My son joined the Army to protect America, not Israel. Am I stupid? No, I know full-well that my son, my family, this nation, and this world were betrayed by George [W.] Bush who was influenced by the neo-con PNAC agenda after 9/11. I didn't include it in a Sheehan column I wrote today, because it wasn't totally clear it was legit. But ABC News has now confirmed to us that this letter was signed by Sheehan and sent to them on her behalf. Posted at 04:44 PM
Cooper let the terrorist sympathizer off scott free.
Busted, "Mother" Sheehan. By the internet that you love so much.
She is trying to back off since david duke has now endorsed her and anderson cooper is blatantly trying to cover for her and her anti-semitism.
I've sent this to both Anderson Cooper and Rick Lowry. I suspect that my e-mail to CNN will never make it through the "spam" filter, but maybe someone at LGF or National Review will get this out there forcing Anderson to "correct" the record tomorrow.
Yep, Anderson caught Sheehan in a lie and in typical MSM fashion, let her off the hook as usual.... (Yawn)
A similar big warning in politics is when David Duke agrees with you. Sheehan is in dangerous territory and should reconsider what she is doing.
bttt
What is coopers email?
More lies -- and exposure.
Of course he did. They always attack to a certain point and leave you with enough rope to hang yourself or enough room to wiggle free if you are a rat.
You wrote "You know you have to parse everything liberals say. She told Cooper she didn't say that. She didn't. She wrote it."
Thank you TBV for the reminder. I thought she was just plain lying. But now I see she was lying with nuance.
Good One!
You might want to drop el Rushbo a copy, too.
It all depends on what you say when you say "say", eh?
