  • A Stimulus Project that LITERALLY runs (and runs the economy) into a DITCH!

    12/01/2010 2:23:22 PM PST · by Frankusa
During the midterm election campaign, President Obama repeatedly used his now-infamous “car in the ditch” analogy to falsely illustrate how Republicans had run the US economy into a ditch. At the time, I posted a YouTube video connecting the President's so-called "shovel ready projects" - which Obama recently conceded are non-existent - to the “ditch” analogy. The point, and the analogy, I was trying to make was that the President's astronomically exorbitant stimulus package was funding non-existent projects, consisting of non-existent shovels, that were digging, or running, the economy into a ditch. However, upon reading an article, written in August...

At a recent metaphor-filled speech in which he was demonstrating the past eight years of the Bush Administration, Obama unveiled the new GM Obamobile, which is capable of driving itself once you load the onboard teleprompter with the proper instructions. The car went about fifty feet when it made a sharp turn and ran completely over Nancy Pelosi. After an investigation, GM technicians found that as the teleprompter was loaded every other 'D' was replaced with a 'B'. Americans sighed in relief because that was the end of Pelosi and the "Ditch" reference. Useful Info Nation

So Obama attends a Sestak fundraiser and he uses his secret weapon, "Democrats are trying to pull the car out of the ditch while the GOP is just sitting back and sipping on a Slurpee"...again. (Michelle is now proposing to ban Slurpees, especially GOP ones.) How many times does the TOTUS have to tell Obama to say this before he realizes the TOTUS is a Tea Party member? And how many times do reporters have to ask Who gets the car?So now I ask you to give me your best analogies and metaphors about Obama's policies. I'm sure you can...

HASTINGS, Neb. (AP) - The Adams County Courthouse meeting room will soon be getting an official portrait of President Barack Obama nearly 18 months after Obama was elected. The portrait will hang in a spot that had held a framed black-and-white photo showing the president with a cigarette hanging from his mouth. That photo drew a complaint from a county official who found it disrespectful.

Problematic speed sensors on the Airbus A330-200 jet that have been the focus of intense speculation since the crash may have misled the plane's pilots but were not a direct cause, Bouillard said... ;... Former President Bill Clinton says the next president's job will be to get the U.S. "out of the ditch." Clinton told a rally of Barack Obama supporters in Las Vegas Sunday that the Democratic presidential hopeful was the best candidate to free up the credit markets, revive the economy and restore the country's image abroad. Clinton says when he saw how Obama handled the economic crisis, "I said to myself, this guy can be president."

Ditch US in terror war, say 80pc of Britons By Toby Helm, Chief Political Correspondent and Philip Johnston (Filed: 17/08/2006) A majority of British people wants the Government to adopt an even more "aggressive" foreign policy to combat international terrorism, according to an opinion poll conducted after the arrests of 24 terrorism suspects last week. However - by a margin of more than five to one - the public wants Tony Blair to split from President George W Bush and either go it alone in the "war on terror", or work more closely with Europe. Divided state: The public wants...

Citing public safety concerns, not a desire to limit anti-war demonstrators, McLennan County commissioners on Tuesday approved an order to prohibit parking along 23 miles of county roads surrounding President Bush's Crawford-area ranch. In a 4-1 vote, commissioners and County Judge Jim Lewis ordered no parking or stopping of vehicles along portions of Prairie Chapel, Hester, Old Beulah, Morgan, Mattlage, Homestead, Quiet Valley, Canaan Church, Coryell City, Bohne, Spross, Castle Creek and West Middle Bosque roads. The vote comes nearly two weeks after the end of anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan's monthlong peace vigil near the Bush ranch. The controversial vigil...

Abandoning one of his most far-reaching and controversial proposals since taking office, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has decided to withdraw his plan to eliminate 88 regulatory and policy-setting boards and commissions, sources close to the governor said Wednesday. In a letter the administration plans to deliver to the state's Little Hoover Commission today, Schwarzenegger concedes the proposal needs further review. Members of the commission, which has held hearings on Schwarzenegger's proposal and plans to release a highly critical assessment at its meeting next Thursday, have already recommended that the government reorganization be scaled back substantially. Included on Schwarzenegger's hit list were...

HALBFINGER OSTON, Dec. 11 — Senator John Kerry said on Thursday that he would crack down on abuses in the mutual fund industry if elected president and called for expanding the antiracketeering laws to fight a "new age of organized crime that comes from corporate offices." Speaking at Northeastern University, Mr. Kerry, a Massachusetts Democrat, said he would end the rapid-fire, quick-turnaround trades known as market timing, in which fund managers and big investors have been allowed to profit at the expense of long-term shareholders. Democrats plan to take one last shot at blocking one of President Bush's judicial nominees while they still control the Senate, hoping to defeat the promotion of a former aide to retiring Sen. Strom Thurmond. The Senate set aside most of Monday to debate the appeals court nomination of U.S. District Judge Dennis Shedd. While under its current Democratic control, the chamber has only debated an appeals court nominations when party leaders wanted to kill it. Shedd is a former assistant to the 99-year-old Thurmond, who will retire in January. Thurmond, R-S.C., has asked for Shedd's promotion to the 4th...
