Ex-President Bill Clinton said Monday that he had to assure world leaders that there was nothing seriously wrong with America after the Congress impeached him in 1998.
"During that time, a lot of world leaders would ask, 'What is going on? Is this serious?'" he told New York magazine.
"I kept assuring them that nothing bad had happened to America," he recalled, "but that we periodically went through spasms."
Interviewed while traveling in Africa, the ex-president claimed, "Africans saw [my impeachment] for exactly what it was: an abuse of power."
"They got it here," he insisted.
The magazine noted that "seven years later, the ordeal of his impeachment still has a vibrant, ever-present life in Clinton's mind."

Thank goodness the Senate acquited this guy. All we need is another felonious (thanks Miss Coulter!) lying former President telling the third world exactly what NOT to do in the name of the USA.
I wish the UN would just elect him dictator for life so we could be rid of this windbag forever. I would buy MORE French products if they would just take him off of our hands. Oh, and can we ship the Bil Clinton Massage Parlor over there too? Sort of a return gift for the Statue of Liberty...

Interviewed while traveling in Africa, the ex-president claimed, "Africans saw [my impeachment] for exactly what it was: an abuse of power." Ahh, the all-important Moral Authority of the UN African contingent. Yes, they certainly understood the complexities of he US Constitution and how it was being bused by the Clinton White House. The African Continent is a beacon of virtue.
"They got it here," he insisted.
And Clinton got it down there, now didn't he?

"ship the Bil Clinton Massage Parlor over there too?" ... and just where do you think we got it from in the first place?

First, he would have attacked Bin Laden, now this. Busy rewriting history in his idleness.

Send this to Spector, et al, who saw no reason to convict this turkey.
To: Leapfrog
Like Clinton, Andrew Johnson was impeached by the House, but not convicted by the Senate. Johnson was never elected president. He was VP and became president when Lincoln was killed.
Clinton was the ONLY ELECTED PRESIDENT to be impeached!
To: Carl/NewsMax
Perhaps it would have been more serious if the GOP had prosecuted over something more serious (say, selling arms and secrets to the Chinese), instead of a lie over a sexual liaison.

I agree Clinton is one of the biggest stains on American history. And Ronald Reagan was the greatest president of the twentieth century.
