Yeah but federal standards for pollutants are so stringent that 10 million rats couldn't drink enough water to get at amounts of nitrates that could even begin to do harm!

Amen! Factory farming is the norm, and although most people eat it's products, they do not realise the disease, and contamination that happens.
We have recently decided that enough is enough for our family and are going to be starting to farm free-range, pasture fed cattle and chickens. Free of hormones and chemicals. We may not make a fantastic amount of money doing it, but we will know that we are doing the best we can for the community and our children. Have you ever read Joel Salatins books. They are an education!

PING! Not sure if you would be interested or not, but Revel has posted some very good information.
I used to just ignore what is going on around me, and eat whatever was the cheapest. Thankfully a book was placed in front of me that has changed my thinking forever. I don't want to continue living this way and want to make sure my children don't have to.

Please understand that this is like frozen orange juice concentrate. It is far more toxic than normal cow manure.

But what are TZDs and how do they fit in?

Increasing your insulin sensitivity almost always improves your health. Decreasing it almost always leads to dire consequences in the long run.
