Jubilant Terrorist Groups Celebrate Israeli Retreat

According to the Intelligence and Terrorism Information Center at the Center for Special Studies (C.S.S) many celebrations of Israeli retreat are being organized by the Palestinian Authority, but numerous terror organizations are holding their own, separate celebrations.

According to the report, the terror groups are awarding themselves and their terrorist activities the prize for having brought about the evacuation of the Israeli settlements.

The report says that while PA chairman Mahmoud Abbas is speaking about further withdrawals through negotiations, both Hamas and the Islamic Jihad are reiterating that they have no intention of disarming, that their weapons are legal and that they intend to continue armed attacks until the total liberation of all Palestine.

“We have no choice but to prepare for new rounds of the confrontation to liberate our lands and take back our Jerusalem and our rights,” Hamas chief Khaled Mashal said in an interview broadcast by Al-Aalam TV on Monday. Speaking to the London-based al-Hayat newspaper, Mashaal said the withdrawal is “the beginning of the end for Israel.”

Last Sunday, Islamic Jihad held a victory procession in Gaza, featuring armed, masked terrorists lauded as heroic liberators of Gaza. The group said it will hold a naval military show on the Gaza beach on Wednesday, in preparation for the opening of a PA seaport in Gaza exempt from Israeli counter-terror monitoring.

Hamas also held a large celebratory rally attended by masked, armed terrorists on Tuesday in Khan Yunis.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) also claimed to have brought about the Jewish retreat, holding a celebration procession in the streets of Khan Yunis attended by armed terrorists waving rockets.

Despite assurances that the disengagement would not be carried out under fire, the withdrawal and expulsion has continued despite several shooting attacks and the firing of three rockets on Gush Katif and central Gaza Jewish communities in recent days.

According to the C.S.S. report, the PA has not taken any steps to put an end to the shootings.

I hope I live long enough to witness the bloody, gory, miserable end of the barbarian Palistinians. The Israelis will be pushed only so far.

I became sick at my stomach this AM. It almost seemed like I was watching a docu. from the late 30's. I bet the Islamofascist really ap0preciated the irony. some probably even uttered praise be to Adolph.

I've been trying to understand the rationale behind this "disengagement" or whatever they want to call it. And none of it makes any sense.

It seems to me that all Sharon has succeeded in doing is emboldening the terror organizations. They are claiming a major victory and are promising that they will continue the "armed resistance".

Abbas and the PA aren't saying a word about this, which indicates his tacit support. Terrorism is going to continue and probably increase.

It goes without saying that there is a deafening silence coming from the EU and our own government about this eviction/ evacuation/ disengagement.

I just don't see an upside to this.

You hit the nail on the head. I was watching the footage and I was numb.

Jew evicting Jew..carrying them out of their own home. A lady being lead out of her home, the home that her family has lived in for 3 generations. With their Gemorrahs still in the bookshelves.

I just don't understand.

Mahmoud Abbas is speaking about further withdrawals

Not saying a word? Seems to me he is singing in harmony with those who say it's the beginning of the end.

Hamas and company better stop their rhetoric or we will have no sympathy if Israeli jets, helicopters, and tanks obliterate them. If they think we will stand by with them attacking Jerusalem, they may see our Air Force, Marines, Navy and Army helping take Israel out. Then the Palestinian state will be a hole in the ground.

Someone should e-mail this to the ditch witch and let her know what a pullout of Iraq would be like now.

As you can see I am ticked off. What I meant to say our armed forces with help Israel destroy the enemy. (Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihab, Al-acsa martyrs brigade, etc).
Sorry!

If the Islamofacist Palestinians are seeing this as some kind of victory they are sorely deluding themselves. This is a gift. I strongly suspect that if they don't take it in the spirit it's given they'll find themselves driven into the sea. Clearly Israel has tried to meet them more than halfway. If this is rebuffed with more terrorism it will be a long, live-fire training exercise for the Israeli defense force to settle the score.

At least I hope that's the response.

God help America for her role in pushing this
so called peace plan.

Hasn't President Bush opened his Bible to Genesis
12:3?

Of course, you are right. I guess that I should have said that Abbas has not done a thing to calm the situation. He has said nothing conciliatory. Infact, he has done just the opposite by making more demands. He hasn't disarmed Hamas, etc. As I understand it, this was supposed to be done.

As usual the PA has talked about what they intend to do. They, as usual, haven't lived up to their end of the agreement but still expect Israel to live up to their commitment.

I hate to say it, but the only real solution is violence so bad that the Palis beg the Israelis for forgiveness. Not just for a few days, but for a few generations. Something along the lines of what we did to Dresden.

Sound harsh? Of course, it is. But this is a war of attrition. One side has the capacity to win, but not the will. The other side lacks the capacity, but obviously has the will. The status quo is not a recipe for victory. Any serious student of history knows this (NYT editiorial page excluded).

This is not only true for Israel, but the West in general. We could end Islamic terrorism with an offensive so awesome, future generations would shiver at the thought. But we won't do it 'cause we haven't suffered enough to abandon our civilized ideas. Too bad the other side doesn't have any civilized ideals.

Who decides when a conflict is over? The loser, of course, But the loser has to know he has lost. Need Proof? Germany has become seriously pacifist after we decimated it in WWII. You won't see them attempting anymore lemming like military ventures until your grandchildren are safely dead.

I just heard the news guy on WABC refer to Israel ending their "30 year occupation of Gaza".

I guess since I live in CA, I would be considered a "settler" since CA used to belong to Mexico and is now "occupied" territory. So how long have we "occupied" California?

I hope Israeli army artillery has the grid coordinates of that place for future reference.
