I John 3: 16
This is how we know what love is:
Jesus Christ laid down His life for us.
And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers.

TOPICS: Culture/Society; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: pray; presidentbush; troops
Holy Father,

Accept our praise, Lord, for Your loving kindness and for the tender way You care for Your children. You are a God of great compassion---so great is Your love that You sent Your Son to die for our sins and then You sent Your Spirit to be with us until Christ’s return. Thank You, Father, for Your unending, unconditional love and for Your amazing grace.

Help us, Lord, to simply love You in return, for we know that when we simply love You, we take You at Your Word. Help us to dwell in Your sweetness and to be filled with all the fullness that You want us to have.

Grant that our President would be strengthened by might by Your Spirit in his inner man. Help him to experience the pure joy that can only come through a close relationship with his Savior. Fill him, Lord, with Your living Spirit, and help him to walk as a man who serves as Your temple, indwelt by his Holy God, fully receptive to Your total occupation of his life. As he pursues Your righteousness and love, may he find life, prosperity, and honor just as Your Word has promised. May Your strength enable him to wait for You, Lord; to be strong and to have a heart of courage. We pray especially, Father, that our President would receive Your revelations regarding the needs and the protection of Israel as well as our country's need for immigration reform.

Thank You, Father, for the continued success of our faithful servicemen and women for they are the heart and soul of America. We ask You to help these precious loved ones in their work this day and to protect them from all hidden dangers. May this time of service be a time of great spiritual growth for each of them, Father, and may Your hand continue to uphold all those serving throughout the rest of the world. Help them to hear and see the support of a grateful nation and shield them from the angry criticism of those who so vocally object.

Help us to draw nearer to You, Father, for it is through Christ’s finished work on the cross that our relationship with You has been established. May we never forget all that was wrought in our Savior’s death and resurrection. We are grateful that He now sits at Your right hand, ever ready to make intercession for us. We praise You, Father and lift up hearts of gratitude in the Name of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Amen.

AMEN FAITH!
GRACE TO ALL BRETHREN!

Psalms 31:1
To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. In You, O LORD, I put my trust; Let me never be ashamed; Deliver me in Your righteousness.

Psalms 31:2
Bow down Your ear to me, Deliver me speedily; Be my rock of refuge, A fortress of defense to save me.

Psalms 31:3
For You are my rock and my fortress; Therefore, for Your name's sake, Lead me and guide me.

Psalms 31:4
Pull me out of the net which they have secretly laid for me, For You are my strength.

Psalms 31:5
Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.

Psalms 31:6
I have hated those who regard useless idols; But I trust in the LORD.

Psalms 31:7
I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy, For You have considered my trouble; You have known my soul in adversities,

Psalms 31:8
And have not shut me up into the hand of the enemy; You have set my feet in a wide place.

Psalms 31:9
Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am in trouble; My eye wastes away with grief, Yes, my soul and my body!

Psalms 31:10
For my life is spent with grief, And my years with sighing; My strength fails because of my iniquity, And my bones waste away.

Psalms 31:11
I am a reproach among all my enemies, But especially among my neighbors, And am repulsive to my acquaintances; Those who see me outside flee from me.

Psalms 31:12
I am forgotten like a dead man, out of mind; I am like a broken vessel.

Psalms 31:13
For I hear the slander of many; Fear is on every side; While they take counsel together against me, They scheme to take away my life.

Psalms 31:14
But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD; I say, "You are my God."

Psalms 31:15
My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me.

Psalms 31:16
Make Your face shine upon Your servant; Save me for Your mercies' sake.

Psalms 31:17
Do not let me be ashamed, O LORD, for I have called upon You; Let the wicked be ashamed; Let them be silent in the grave.

Psalms 31:18
Let the lying lips be put to silence, Which speak insolent things proudly and contemptuously against the righteous.

Psalms 31:19
Oh, how great is Your goodness, Which You have laid up for those who fear You, Which You have prepared for those who trust in You In the presence of the sons of men!

Psalms 31:20
You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence From the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion From the strife of tongues.

Psalms 31:21
Blessed be the LORD, For He has shown me His marvelous kindness in a strong city!

Psalms 31:22
For I said in my haste, "I am cut off from before Your eyes"; Nevertheless You heard the voice of my supplications When I cried out to You.

Psalms 31:23
Oh, love the LORD, all you His saints! For the LORD preserves the faithful, And fully repays the proud person.

Psalms 31:24
Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart, All you who hope in the LORD.
(NKJV)

"Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art
my strength."
- Psalm 31:4

Our spiritual foes are of the serpent's brood, and seek to ensnare us by
subtlety. The prayer before us supposes the possibility of the believer
being caught like a bird. So deftly does the fowler do his work, that
simple ones are soon surrounded by the net. The text asks that even out of
Satan's meshes the captive one may be delivered; this is a proper
petition, and one which can be granted: from between the jaws of the lion,
and out of the belly of hell, can eternal love rescue the saint.
It may need a sharp pull to save a soul from the net of temptations, and
a mighty pull to extricate a man from the snares of malicious cunning, but
the Lord is equal to every emergency, and the most skilfully placed nets
of the hunter shall never be able to hold his chosen ones.
Woe unto those who are so clever at net laying; they who tempt others
shall be destroyed themselves.

"For thou art my strength." What an inexpressible sweetness is to be found
in these few words! How joyfully may we encounter toils, and how
cheerfully may we endure sufferings, when we can lay hold upon celestial
strength. Divine power will rend asunder all the toils of our enemies,
confound their politics, and frustrate their knavish tricks; he is a happy
man who has such matchless might engaged upon his side.
Our own strength would be of little service when embarrassed in the nets
of base cunning, but the Lord's strength is ever available; we have but to
invoke it, and we shall find it near at hand.
If by faith we are depending alone upon the strength of the mighty God of
Israel, we may use our holy reliance as a plea in supplication.

"Lord, evermore thy face we seek:
Tempted we are, and poor, and weak;
Keep us with lowly hearts, and meek.
Let us not fall. Let us not fall."

Lord, you have promised a blessing for all who bless the descendants of Abraham. That promise has been fulfilled in Christ, yet Paul makes clear there is still a place for the Jewish people in Your plan of salvation.

It grieves and vexes me to see that America places pressure on Israel to commit suicidal acts before a ruthless and implacable foe.

I have no doubt that our leaders have the best intentions in mind, and for this I am grateful.

I ask You to rend the veil of deceit that keeps them in darkness on this issue, for we are bringing consequences down upon ourselves, not the least of which stem from appeasing terrorism, even the source and inspiration of all modern terrorism.

The Abbas regime is crumbling and Hamas enjoys more support. UN-funded Palestinian banners proclaim "Today Gaza, tomorrow the West Bank and Jerusalem". Even as the Palestinians demand their own right of return they deny Jews the right to live in territory they control.

The picture is clear. The Palestinians will not rest until Israel and the Jewish people are destroyed.

I stand in support of the Jews. I stand in support of what is right. I pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for we continue to see it trampled on by the nations. May our leaders have wisdom and quit this lethal folly.

Come Lord Jesus.

Amen, and thank you, Faith.

Lord, we are so grateful that Your mercies are over all Your works and we give You thanks. We bless You and speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your power to make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts and the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom. We know You sustain all who fall and raise up all who bow down. You open Your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. (Ps. 145)

Thank You, for satisfying our desire for prevailing righteousness in the life of our President and our troops. We cry to You for righteous judgment according to Your word. We give You all the glory for being such a compassionate and mighty Heavenly Father.

Amen, Lord. Come and visit us in a mighty way, that our vision may be restored to perfectly conform with Your Will for Your people, Israel. In the Name of our Savior, Amen.

Thank you so much, Paul_B. Our heavy hearts can only be lifted by continuing to pray for an end to this persecution of the nation of Israel.
