Everyone should check their church's expenditures. Churches and church organizations often use sneaky ways to contribute to the NCC.

Mainline denominations and the NCC become even more irrelevant. Seems the only time someone pays attention to them is when they continue crumbling further into oblivion.

Good for them! That is such great news!

Good for them. I'm impressed. Maybe the other Othodox Churches will follow suit.

" . . . the NCC is increasingly funded by left-wing philanthropies, like the Tides Foundation and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and political advocacy groups, like the Sierra Club and MoveOn.org."
If this is true, it's amazing that it has not been publicized. If the Young Republicans were funding the Christian Coalition, every editorial board in the country would be condemning it as an unholy and un-American mixture of religion and politics.

It would be excellent if the other Orthodox Churches left too. I am sure they don't want to appear to be following the lead of the Antiochian Orthodox, but they should do it all the same and if possible at the same time.

I was thinking of putting my son in the Scouts, but noticed that they meet at a United Methodist church.
Are the UM another left wing religeous group?

The 1 million-member Orthodox Church in America (Russian Orthodox) convened its All American Council last month in Toronto.
