The USS Saipan..my neighbor is on that ship. He'll be back shortly as well. These next few weeks will see the return of many of my neighbors. Lots of parties to attend.

However, if there are no TVs with college football turned on. MoJo may have to send her best regards. There are priorities even in MoJo's life. LOL!

Hey Mali,Sharise, and Mags,
Did you see what they said about the USS Saipan in this picture? They were *deployed*. As we know, there wasn't one European country they didn't have liberty in. Hehee!

Don't get angry though. They were just doing their job. Being great ambassadors for America except for those 3 Sailors. Hehe!

(((((Lauren)))))) I am sooo far behind already! Thanks for your wonderful pictures of the most awesome troops in the entire world! I love that one taken from the helicopter! You and I are gonna do that one of these days. We'll just take a road trip to Florida and beg for a ride with David!

Oh, still haven't heard from him--I called a while ago and got no answer. Hubby said "probably has the phone off the hook"! Hmmmmmmmmmm....maybe!

Even though Navy folks grumble about it, I love Langley Air Force base. My little one went to pre-school there. I always felt safer with him there. My Aunt made such a fuss about *endangering* him on a military base. As The Sailor explained to her, *if any idiot terrorist wants to take out the school, they'll die within seconds*. Which is true. In that way, the military community is very tight. Doesn't matter what branch a child's parent is in..you don't mess with military kids---ever. Especially not in front of military folks.

The Air Force personnel always came over to read stories to the kids or participate in events that children were doing.

Timmy's favorite activity was getting to do the *pool* thing each week where Air Force members were on hand to help them learn how to swim.

My neighbor on the Saipan is an Ohio State fan. Naturally, we'll be watching the games together. There is a *gasp* Michigan fan among the crowd, but he's outnumbered.

They'll all be over to watch football on Sundays at my house. I'm waiting for one of them to buy a big screen TV to end this torment on Sundays. LOL!
