I can't wait to see their disgusting signs and hear their profanity. Oh, and of course, the stench. The unmistakable stench of leftists in the street. Better bring some air freshener.

The unmistakable stench of leftists in the street.

All too familiar...like a sweaty old bathroom ashtray, only twice as nasty.

A Real Nasty Habit

There may be a FEW Riverside-based "barking moonbats," but the hard core L.A.-based wackos do not seem very interested in making the long drive to this event.

This announcement, for example, is buried half-way down the page, at www.answerla.org:

Protest Bush in the Inland Empire
End the Occupation of Iraq! Bring the Troops Home Now!

Monday, August 29, 1 pm
James L. Brutle Senior Center
11200 Baseline Road, Rancho Cucamonga

Assemble: NW corner of Milliken and Baseline

Co-sponsored by A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition-LA and Riverside Area Peace and Justice Action

For more info contact 323-464-1636 or 951-653-0743.

The people are turning against the U.S. war on Iraq, and President Bush is on the defensive. He is currently touring the country to defend his criminal policies of war, racism, greed and occupation.

On this tour, Bush is waging a campaign of lies. His biggest lie, a lie he has been repeating over and over again, is that this war is in the interests of working people here in the U.S. The truth is that working people in the U.S. and U.S. troops have much more in common with the Iraqi people than they ever will with the Bush administration, the Pentagon and Wall Street.

Now is the time for the anti-war movement to take the offensive. On Monday, August 29, let's greet Bush and tell him he's not welcome in Southern California.

Bring your signs, voice of protests, drums and noisemakers!

Flyer

Stop the War on Iraq!
Stop Bush!
Bring the Troops Home Now!
End Colonial Occupation from Iraq to Palestine to Haiti and Everywhere!

And, while la.indymedia.org DOES has a blurb at the TOP of their home page, their link takes you to such out-dated information as THIS post, last updated on THURSDAY (8/25) - with VERY FEW comments expressing plans to acutally be there tomorrow:
Excerpts from the AP Press release:

"President Bush may visit Rancho Cucamonga next week, according to a White House spokesman. Spokesman David Almacy said the president's plans will be finalized and announced Friday. The president has already announced he will visit Arizona on Monday, but he may stop in the Inland Empire also."

I wonder how many of the clowns from RAPJA were at Woodstock and got hold of some of that brown acid.

Carpooling from Riverside at the Hispanic Bookcase near the corner of University & Iowa.
We leave at 12 noon sharp. -

RAPJA = Riverside Area Peace Justice Action.
We have been up against these bozos before.
The LAST time, we were on their HOME TURF (in Riverside) -- when they had MUCH MORE lead time.
From:
after action report:
DICK CHENEY/Bill Jones in Riverside: "Support Our Troops" rally (7/27)

We should EVENTUALLY get some more precise numbers from the folks who got there EARLY, but it appears that the FReep timeline went something like THIS:

4:00 pm - 40-50 "good guys" - 5-10 "bad guys"
(Vice President Cheney arrives, the media go indside.)
5:00 pm - 50-60 "good guys" - 75-100 "bad guys"
(RonDog finally arrives.)
5:30 pm - 75 "good guys" - 200 "bad guys" - who begin to overrun our position
(We "declare victory" and fall back to a nearby McDonald's.)
I expect that they MAY have 30-40 "anti-Bush" wackos by the time of our press conference at 1 pm, but they will probably have LESS.
I expect to have 20-30 of US at this event, possibly a few MORE.

If Neville Chamberlain were still alive and lived in the Inland Empire, he would join these fools on Monday.
Unfortunately, some of our target audience (particularly those educated in our "publik skool" system) might get confused with this historical reference.
Especially if the moonbats have their usual "Bush is HITLER" signs.
As I posted on the OTHER tread:
...we want to keep our message very SIMPLE, so your sign should be something like this:
"REAL Americans
SUPPORT President Bush."

My guess is that most of these will be college aged from the Riverside ares, some of whom were influence by an America-hating professor at UCR who claims that this is Mexico.
